Dosen't contradict what I stated Az is now to all intents and purposes defunctvas the shots taken in early are over six months ago and as all those articles agree efficiency has waybed.

Also and big also there is no peer review on any of this stuff its just pharma execs making sure that their product is sold after manufacture and the govts agreeing because of the panic that will happen whe those that got the shots realise they need bootees stat

The rules for the order that people were vaccinated was changes repeatedly as it's a balance of politics and public health statistics

All HSE staff that got az are being boosted as it's not working

What are they being boosted with?
Not bloody az that's for sure
In testing we take product and put it in storage in many many ways for very long time
In nice and cold in freezing cold in stupidly cold in room temp in warm and in uncomfortably warm and leave it and test it every month for literly decades
This cannot be accelerated there is no magic bullet buy in order to give it a years approval the absolute minimum time from production is 13 months and a day from production to 1.1 ish years testing to shipping

So any article stating efficiency in August for az has a maximum believable time of 1.1 times the time from the first time it was second shot into a test group of approx imatly 8 months and that was reported to teh waining immunity and that would be against alpha

Also what covid did you get If a person gets covind they are told by text this person aged that got test the other and it was positively returned for covid 19

Try to gibg and asking what you got

PCR is a genetic test they know what you got but they don't tell and if you ask they say they aren't sequence ing individual named samples but only by area to see what is there.
Look online at the American response They admit they know what you got but state they will not be telling you.

It's not a conspiracy I'm not a conspiracy theorist but this exercise in don't panic the proles is amazing to watch roll out.
I donld people in my office I was annoyed that my nct would be out and the queues would be huge when the nct shops rebopenwd
They asked when it was due When I told them in march 20 it was due next Jan they laughed at me a said that if it was that long and still an issue they would not able to cope.

I terestinh thing is both of them quut last December to mind their teenage kids who were turning ferral and they literly couldn't cope

The power of words and attitude bis amazing you are what you verbalise I guess
Ok big meeting more action plans the spice must flow

I done my NCT in November, its good until Feburary. Now that's a load of bollox!
If the car tests good, it should be good for a year, not stupid 3 months.

What ? When was your nct due?
I've been wondering about the natural immunity seeing as last year when I tested positive none of the rest of the household caught it. Two PCR tests each as was standard for wifey and two kids, all negative. We were worried about the eldest for a few days as he seemed a bit symptomatic but all came back negative.

Probably had it deferred. There was a rake of NCT suspensions early this year cos of Covid

it was out for months, but why should that matter, it was tested, and now its only valid for 3 months.

It's 12 months from the test in the UK. When I was poor and had a 25 year old car I would wait a month or two after the due date every year. I reckon here they're trying not to incentivise that sort of behaviour

(obviously it's different this year with the centres having been closed, but I'd say lots just their standard rule and they stuck to it)

Not possible with the age of the kids at the time, my poor wife would have had a nervous breakdown being left alone with them for ten days with no escape Tongue

Didn't ever work out where I caught it from. Most likely work but honestly I don't know.

Also howdy Big Grin

I must say I was rather proud of my 8 year old this morning, off his own bat he wore his mask to school in solidarity with his mates in third class (he's in second and not required to wear one). Just wanted to do it to (in his words) 'protect myself and my best friends'.
What a proud fatherly moment Necro! Smile ....8 is a great age, may it not slip by too fast for either of you.

My rant - ya know when you've gotten all cozy in bed, everything is (finally) set right, rest is inevitable, the body is humming with zzzz's when out the blue, one twitchy nerve in your back (which is inevitably unreachable) goes rogue... Intiate 'intense itching sequence' NOW! ...What the flip is up with that?!

Neighbour noises do my head in. Dogs barking and kids screaming, phones on speaker, elevator beeping, doors slamming, people stomping down the corridor, tvs blaring through the night, loud cackling neighbour who won't stop talking, stereos on high, street people yelling at one another... City life bites, my kingdom for a quiet life.
My local post office. I went in at lunchtime to post a parcel with a returns label, there was a long queue as you'd expect at this time of the year. 2 of the workers and 2 customers had a great chat for about 10 minutes while my blood pressure gradually got close to breaking point. I was about to suggest they all arrange a coffee but then one of them realised he actually had to key in his PIN to pay and fuck off. Have your chats somewhere else and keep the bloody queue moving, I'm still in a foul humour over it.

Hee Hee, I was in a post office today. I may or may not have delayed you
I feel you, @DejaBoo and I don't even live in a city.

For me, today's major annoyance for me was dpd leaving my parcel in another building, not being able to get through to the depot to find that out for several hours, then the driver telling me it wasn't heavy, it fucking was!

Was in the midlands on Saturday, and got an email from amazon, saying my package has been delivered to the mailroom @ 16:30.
Got an sms at the same time saying "Front the door".

Got home after midnight, was a windy and rainy night, to a big soggy box, sitting in front of my front door, in the elements, not hidden or anything.

Wasn't really annoyed, so not really a rant, just peculiar, and had good laugh at the 'front the door' message.

edit: just adding, i live in a dublin suburb concrete jungle estate, not out in the middle of nowhere.
At least mine was inside, just at someone else's door.
It's an awful time of year to leave deliveries at the door too, a lot of burglaries and a parcel advertises the house is empty.

It's a new thing with Amazon since the pandemic I think, contactless delivery, they will leave it at your desk, ring the bell and text when it's there. Think they have a notification part on the app if you know you won't be in to let them know.. its still very much not ideal though for the multiple reasons outlined. Systems out of sync etc. I'd definitely bring it up with Amazon anyways as any dealings with them that I've had they have always tried to amend.
I had a delivery by Amazon only last week. It was addressed to a friend's house as a gift, but they couldn't find the house (even though they had the Eircode, and I'm pretty sure they were right outside it) so I had to redirect them to my house instead. Fortunately it was only around the corner, so it wasn't a big deal, but definitely a bit of hassle

Yeah, whatever app they used doesn't seem to be very good. Text messages seem to arrive out-of-sync, and you only have 5 minutes to reply, and when you might have to write out directions of where to send them, even if you see the text immediately, is a bit of a PITA

I did however get a refund on the postage because it was delivered late, even though I never raised a complaint about it. Don't know if it was automated based on the estimated delivery date or initiated by the driver as an apology

Are people incapable these days of matching physical addresses to packages? I hope postmen (that's a title, not a gender!) don't end up like that!
Rant: You come back to your car and someone has parked too close to your door so you have to do some weird drunken looking acrobatics that will be amusing to any onlookers in order to get in. Worse again if it has been raining so you get a wet back and ass sliding up against the car.

Similar if the carpark is full and in the only free space a driver has parked over the line on your side so you get to exit the car looking like you are as full as the boyne.

It is the carelessness and the lack of consideration that gets to me with some people's parking. Sometimes, in a shopping centre, there can be a line of cars parked across parking spaces and you have no option but to join this pattern and you don't know who started it! Occasionally, outside a small row of shops locally, I might see a car parked horizontally across parking spaces instead of parking vertically, thus using up a minimum of three spaces!

One thing that I don't get is when there are plenty of spaces available outside the local shops and someone decides instead to park on the road on double yellow lines! What is the logic there?

Another thing that gets to me is when someone parks in a disabled parking spot and they do not have a disabled parking permit.

If you simply deflate the tyres on the opposite side the offending car will lean away from your own and help your ingress.

I had to ask a guy in a van with a large car trailer attached to move up from a pump and the look I got as I interrupted him eating, he only got food in the shop, plenty do it parking by pumps to go to the shop  Angry
There is also parking at the area where you check your tyres. In fairness, it is a bit less obvious than parking at the pump.

It reminds me of any situation where someone is parked in the wrong place and they casually say "I' won't be a minute". I don't care if you won't be a minute - don't park there!

Oh yes that is annoying too, as is idiots parked up to chat in their cars by the air pressure, just some consideration is needed
It's 11pm and I'm working, will be for a couple of hours yet, and I've been working this late for a week or so. I'm up against the wall trying to get stuff done before Christmas and my fucking manager has come back to say a report needs amending because I don't have fucking full stops at the end of paragraphs

I never put full stops at the end of paragraphs. Fair enough that's technically wrong but it makes no odds the content of what I've written and is such a waste of my bloody time when I've got no time

And if I want to waste time I'll do it with the Fogies Advent Calendar Tongue
