Young lads constantly bouncing footballs up and down the street all day does it for me. I get paranoid at times about them hitting the windows, even accidentally. We live on a street with no front garden, so there's not much you can do about it
I'd like to live on a quiet street, just local traffic, no school nearby, listening to the wind in trees if you leave the window on the latch. I find ambient noises overly stimulating and highly distracting.
Thanks for the comments everyone, I so appreciate your opinions! Smile
First time in ages I've had stupid subs with my tesco shop, instead of a chocolate orange, I got a smarties bar (plenty of other orange chocolate options, even Terry's stuff!), they swapped 3 of my 4 skimmed milks with whole milk (certainly other skimmed available as they often don't have the one I like), they swapped frozen pizza dough with mini jambons (no other options really, but a frozen just rol pastry would have been a better swap), and swapped my bread for one twice the size! I can only assume the shop has new pickers who have no common sense!

I wonder if they have a specific list of alternatives or if it's left to their own discretion
Damn allergies and pollen, eyes sore, sniffles and cough

Yes, but councils and the ESB are exempt I think. No excuse for it though.

They do this all the time on the road out to my folks place too it drives me nuts.

The local farmer has even offered to cut it outside of the season for them as he has the equipment but they said no because "insurance reasons" apparently....

Going down that road at the moment is like entering a tunnel they're so high!

I never choose the substitiute option. I'm very particular about which items I want. I'd rather go without than have a substitute.

I think you can hand back any unwanted items to the driver and get a refund. I've never had to do it myself

He was gone before I even checked anything.
So with An Post letters and packages coming from a ROI address to another ROI address taking well over a week, that is a fceking disgrace and some lost

I have had no issue with letters this year- from or to my house and my workplace. Sometimes they arrive the next day, otherwise two days. Maybe the issue is with packages.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this kind of scenario before - I may have! Anyway... you are coming off a small roundabout with two lanes: one for turning left or going straight after the roundabout joining a lane on the left, and one for going off to the right around the roundabout or going straight after the roundabout joining a lane on the right. So, basically you are driving side by side by with another driver. The other day the car to my right going straight on after the roundabout pulled in front of me onto the left lane - no warning, no nothing. That's downright ignorant as well as being dangerous.

Getting abuse from an alcoholic sibling just because I was standing up for my mam yesterday and wouldn't let them in and slammed the door in their face, she got torrent abuse from him the evening before and I wasn't letting him waltz in and pretend everything was ok, I wish to god he would go away and leave us alone forever.
Ah Sephers, I'm sorry that's still going on, it's a shit situation for you all.

Don't believe a word from anyone who tells you that cats are "clean" animals.  If I catch the feral bastard that left a steaming monster turd in the middle of my brand new artificial lawn today it'll be the last turd it leaves anywhere. Angry

Years ago, I was a baby, a cat got in to my dad's car and pooed and peed all over it. He had just put on new seat covers. From that day he hated cats. It's not helped by the half feral ones my Aunt has and they are smelly and just not nice.
But. Our neighbour has a lovely cat and she is spotless and such a gentle little girl.

Cats are clean, that's why they take the nimbyism approach. The cat was probably very taken aback that he couldn't cover his poo in your fake grass.

It was more than likely a neighbour's cat. Feral cats aren't dirty, they tend to be sick and struggling to survive before dying young.
It's ok @Sephiroth_Dude , don't listen to the bad man!

Some people like cats and some people don't. *Shrug*. Same as dogs and other animals.
