One of the receptionists used to do it pre covid , so I'm assuming she's at it again .

That's a regular thing round here too Mam, it's pot luck if you get through to make an appointment these days cos they leave the phone off the hook so much, really annoying.
I'm really lucky with my gp and the whole team working there. The main receptionist can be a bit grumpy at times, and sometimes have to insist on an appointment, they usually accommodate if it's at all possible.

A lot of the people in my diabetes education group have woeful service.
GP receptionists are always awful. Mine don't seem to leave it off the hook, but you feel like you are asking for the third secret of Fatima if you ring to ask for an appointment. You almost feel bad for asking them to do their job.

It's crazy !
We can't even make an appointment,  you've to give a brief description of what's wrong and request a call back , wait for the GP to ring you , phone consult , then he says whether you need to come in or not.... In fairness he's a great GP , but that system is kinda fcuked imo .
The GP I found actually use SwiftQueue for appointments. I've yet to see how they are as a GP but at least appointments seem fairly painless.
I saw the Christmas tree in Dunnes in Stephen's Green
And the Instaslaves taking pics by the windows in Brown Thomas

Party has started in the apartment below mine. Really hoping it doesn't go all night

Well if they're starting this early all you can hope for is that they burn themselves out early.

Unfortunately previous experience leads me to believe it'll be 4am before it wraps up
We have turned on a horror movie. I don't watch horror movies (but Halloween). I chose The Conjuring. I may regret this.
There's been happy birthday singing and soccer cheering, trying to decide whether to bother trying to go to bed and sleep or consign myself to staying up until the party ends

Is that based on the house Ed and Lorraine Warren investigated?

They'll all be dying tomorrow. Turn up some metal music really loud at about lunchtime and head out for the day, "forgetting" to turn off your music.
I'd say half of them will be gone home, amd unfortunately I have a bunch of other neighbours who are currently suffering through this who wouldn't appreciate more tomorrow
Ffffffiuuuuuuuuu my satellite cable has been acting the maggot for a few weeks and tonight it has given up, right before new Doctor Who

It's BBC 1, just been looking into options, would need to sort a vpn and do some fiddling with the chromecast, from what I can see. I can try the hardware shop up the road tomorrow for a new cable or connectors, so it won't be a long term issue
I hope you got some sleep last night, nothing. It seems to be one of those weekends for you!.

It was a rough night alright, but thankfully it's reasonably quiet tonight.

We turned on Doctor Who, and the trick n treaters started so just had to keep pressing pause. Think they've stopped now though so we can turn it back on. Hope you get to stream it nothing

I want to install a light above the front door, that I can turn on when I'm trying to watch TV. If someone comes to the door while the light is on, I should be legally allowed to punch them in the face
Somehow I've pulled a muscle.
It's pure agony
56 fucking screenshots weren't enough?! Are you fucking kidding me?! *explodes*
The Glenroes... come early.
There's a house/car alarm going off somewhere and it's driving me nuts

No, it was too far away

It is. I've seen it a few times and found it absolutely terrifying.

What did you think of it Cee?
I have The Conjuring on my box to watch.
The woman on the telly saying Christmas is just around the corner. Seven weeks so it must be a massive corner.
It's like the Walkinstown roundabout, stop and start but you get there in the end
I think we would be better off if all the Christmas adverts, songs in shops and decorations were held off until the 1st of December. The build up is so long atm that by the time it finally arrives you have Christmas fatigue and the day can't possibly live up to the expectations.

Okay, that was scary.
