There's a junction I use where you have to drive straight on, you can't turn and you must give way to traffic from the right. It is such a busy road that really the only chance you get to go is when someone pushes the pedestrian crossing on your left and stops the traffic.
So when someones standing waiting right beside the button and refuses to push it I am silently losing the plot. I'm there trying to beam my thoughts directly into their head 'come on, push the button, push the button, push the button...'

I'm one of those idiots, happens here also. However it all depends on where the crossing is and when it is. If it is a junction, pressing the botton will do nothing, light changes are all timed. If it is a striaght road then you probably will need to press it to get a green. If I see a gap and it's still red, I will scoot across.
Feck off Disney! Minnie Mouse in a pantsuit now!

They look like pyjamas to me
Stella Mc doing an Audi car ad too, prefer Tom Hardy's one

The woke generation wants all non binary, let Minnie be Minnie in her bow and dress is that so wrong
Is it non binary to wear pants?

It's only a temporary thing. Isn't it to mark women's history month or something like that? I believe women are allowed to wear pants now. Why can't Minnie? Skirts are a pain in the arse when your an active little girl. I used to hate being forced to wear them and I hate seeing kids still forced to wear them. My ex's niece really hated dresses and her grandmother wouldn't let up on it. Even asking me to tell her how much prettier she'd be in a dress. Christ on a bike like.
I was at a kid's birthday party a while back and this little girls mam had put her, not just in a dress, but a white one. She ended up sitting on the sidelines crying, watching her friends play, not able to join in with her cumbersome dress in case she got dirty.

I cannot for the life of me understand why it matters whether or not for a few weeks a cartoon character aimed at little girls wears a dress or pants or a feckin spacesuit. I'd imagine you'd be hard pushed to find a kid who genuinely* cares. But no offence ShaneU for some reason, some fully grown Irish man does? I don't get it at all.

Everyone just wear whatever the hell you want to wear, just so long as it covers up your unsightly bodies! Wink

Sorry there's my rant now.

Binary. Non binary. Fluidity. The pronouns. Ugh... drives me insane.

I'm hungover  Sad
It's annoying if you are in an enclosed space, such as on public transport or indoors in a small area of a pub or restaurant, and a person near you is loud on the phone and you can hear every thing they are saying. This is even more so if it is getting a bit personal such as giving out about somebody. The enclosed space is important here because it is hard to get away from it.

I am just used to Minnie in her dress and Mickey in his shorts, why the need to change iconic cartoon figures

You right it should not make any difference to adults but my niece and young cousin love their Disney soft toys of both

Re Minnie Mouse I don't mind the pants tbh , it's the colour that's off putting for me !
I think the most important thing to remember is that it doesn't actually matter what they wear, because Mickey and Minnie Mouse are the two unfunniest cartoon characters of all time and will be first against the wall when the revolution comes.

There's just no respect for your elders around here! Angry Tongue

Oh, and Peanuts is pretty crap too, apart from Snoopy obviously, but it's not Mickey Mouse levels of crappiness.
I'm back in the office today. There will be people on the luas. Ugh.
I'm that person who didn't press the pay button on the car parking app and is now sat in their clamped car at the luas park and ride.

What is up with people who revel in making other peoples lives more difficult, just for the hell of it?   Angry ...isnt life hard enough without piling up undue stress on top?

Let kids wear what they want. My son identifies as Spiderman people at my office call him Spiderman people in the shops call him spiderman. He also know he's the little Tigger version of Spiderman not the alpha MCU or alpha or beta MCU version and of someone is also dressing as Spiderman he calls them Spiderman as well.
He has a friend that's a girl that wears dresses all the time and then the go play in the fields. His Spiderman runners and jeans and Spiderman hoodie and cap are far better for playing in fields and ditches and trees than her pink fluffy dress and strap on shoes.

Thats a girls suit Minnie is wearing and there is nothing wrong with it apart from veganisim.

Tldr Tiggers embrace the new identification thibgys but still believe veganisim is the devil.

Also I just looked in the mirror and I'm actually a middle aged man that identifies as a lisping Disney character so what would I know .

I never listen to the Joe Duffy show. If I am listening to the radio at home at lunchtime, I automatically listen to Newstalk.

Might The Duffer be ahead of Mickey & Minnie ?  ( his Funny Friday concept alone must qualify him )

I reckon RTE should swap Shay Byrne and Joe Duffy
@Tigger I'm in stitches at that. Your little Spiderman sounds like a character (oh, pun unintended).
And yes let kids wear what they want. Let everyone wear what they want. We place far too much value on clothes at the best of times.

But what's the link between Minnie and Veganism eh? Big Grin

Newstalk lunchtime can be hit and miss. Remember the time a couple of years ago when Andrea Gilligan asked Pat Kenny if he was that excited about the Sex and the City sequel. Talk about tumbleweed rolling  Rolleyes

Still, she's better than the insufferable Ciara Kelly (I don't have to listen to her anymore)
