Washing rant: As I was pouring the last of the washing liquid into the cap two big drops of it came flying straight across horizontally from over a foot away and landed on the front of my hoodie. What is going on here? Should I call the ghostbusters? Anyway I had to throw the hoodie in for the wash as well then.
Then later on as I was hanging them out to dry I dropped two things on the muddy ground, so now they need to br washed again.
If I place a takeaway order and you tell me the food will be ready in 20 minutes, I don't expect to be told it'll be another 10-15 minutes when I arrive after the initial 20 minutes.

I ordered an indian the other night and they said it would be 40-50mins -Indian food usually does take longer so I expected that.
But the feckin' thing got to me 1.5hrs later!
I said I'd never order delivery from them again, but I'd probably place an order for collection in future, giving them an hour before I'd collect.
But then worried about the same thing as you, that I'd go to collect it and I'd be left waiting on the food. So I think I might just have to pass on that place now

I did the same and was very tempted to just go into Krispie Kreme
the excuse I got was that they had my ticket(from the app) but someone never put it through the till which links to the kitchen.
It was still bloody amazing though

Tried to switch my Dad's broadband at the weekend... 🤦♀️ So it let me purchase the new package, but turns out his existing contract was so old the 8 digit account number may not have been a UAN, and now he is having trouble getting through to the new provider to sort it out. He is also older now and struggles with this kinda stuff and is hours away so I can't really help either. Trying to save him some money and now the immense hassle created - I'll just go hit my head off a wall 🤯🤬😖

Wouldn't matter to the getting past the automated menu as the new provider don't have it 🤦 Anyway it looks like he never was assigned a UAN when they were introduced, from a call with the old provider to discuss cancellation - they had to look him up in their old system hence how we realised it likely wasn't a UAN 🤯🤬😅🤦
Virgin Media's policy for digital box replacement is to send it out by courier. This was not good for an older relation of mine who was hoping that they would send out a technician to install the new box. According to Virgin Media, if you want a technician, it takes weeks. In the event, I went over and sorted out the installation of the new box. As my relation pointed out, that's fine if you have the wherewithal to do that, but not great for those who can't. He also pointed out that that was not how their predecessor UPC did business - they sent someone out. It is bad the way so many companies expect you to do installations like that - not just tv digital boxes. They assume you can do it yourself and if you can't they don't make things easy for you. As my elderly relation pointed out, you are paying for something on a regular basis which does not seem to include much in the way of customer service. What I would say is that they should allow for those who cannot do the installations themselves, for whatever reason. At the very least, older people should not be taken for granted.

I get it, it's 2022, they're modernising by adapting to new technologies, that's fine. But what about the people who don't know how to use that technology?
Not everyone has a smartphone to use the app to sign in. Sure, they have back-up systems to get around it, but they are so convoluted. It feels like they are deliberately punishing people for not modernising quick enough, like it's their fault for getting old and not knowing how technology works
And how can you explain your problem to an automated help line? It's difficult to get your problem through the system even when you know what you're doing, I can only imagine the frustration of an elderly person thinking they are talking to a real person
Banks, especially, are the biggest culprits in my experience. Customers who have had accounts for decades, when everything was done on paper, can't be expected to keep up-to-date with every single update, and every single hoop they have to jump through just to keep their account

When I switched his electricity and his mobile for him I actually left him with the same provider just changed plan to save some money to avoid hassle but wasn't possible to do for a better deal on broadband.

Having such a looooong week
Was so so tired on MONDAY morning, and I feel like I'm just scraping by each day.
Struggled with driving home each evening too, to the point were I was actually really worried one or two of the nights.
Thankfully traffic was light enough this evening & it wasn't raining, so I'm still breathing
Tomorrow is one step closer to the weekend and I'll be off so that's a plus.
We have had a free ride weather wise all winter. But it was just lulling us into a false sense of security: now it is kicking our asses with a veangance.

Same thing happens my dad whenever he has a clinic appointment, he had an appointment once at 10 am and mam was bringing him and they didn't get out of there till lunch time!

Not sure about imgur but imgbb does allow private folders so that the image is only accessible with the shared link. I find it ok to use.
