Had lightning strike the ground in front of the swings I was on when I was 4 in Ibiza. Well, it might have been a mile away but I remember it as being right in front of my feet. Not a big fan ever since.
Also, hello. Long time no play!

I'm jealous , I'd love to do that , I find it  fascinating tbh☺

Same here. I love thunder and lightning and the really mad rain that follows it. It's quite heavy and overcast at the moment here, but no storm so far anyway.
Howdy Nunberry!!!
Woop! Going for a cuppa with a friend shortly. Not been out of the house properly since last week.

I often enjoy the lightening storms in the distance when I am holidaying in spain. Whatever local mini weather system they have there, there is regularly lightening storms near the mountains which is miles away from where I stay, but as zaph says, its great sitting out on the roof watching them for hours.
perfect situation to rid someone of phobias, as its lovely and peaceful where we are not a hint of rain, and you just have visuals of storms, too far away even to hear, although the bigger strikes can be heard faintly.

I love these in Spain too. My parents have a place their, and you can sit out up on top, and be enjoying your glass of wine, watching it in the distance.
The best one I have ever seen was in Australia though, over Darling Harbour.

I just met my parents for lunch (they were up from Limerick) - they fly out to Spain for 3 weeks on Saturday. I'm so jealous. I'm getting my 2nd shot tomorrow, so 2 weeks away from some sort of indoor dining and socializing again!!

What you getting? If its Pfizer, its only 1 week after you've to wait before you can partake in indoor festivities.

That is very jealousy inducing I must say. Although when you get the second vax the world will open up. What a time to be alive  Tongue
I was one of the last of the OGs to get my cert cos I was vaxxed through my GP

Got it the last day they said that people would receive them from the original amount of 1.8 million or something like that.

Have been out in a few places though and they haven't asked me for it... so far  Confused

Moderna. 2 weeks until fully vaccinated with that.
I was only delighted about that vaccine with my love for Dolly Parton (she donated to the development of it). Some good reports too today on its efficacy after 6 months.

Got offered a free ticket for Croke Park this weekend, being sensible and saying no though. The thoughts of being in the crowds there on match day is something I need to slowly get my hear around again.

I was at home at the weekend, we know the owners of our local bar/restaurant, and they were being very stringent on their checks. He said they had been shut for too long they weren't taking any chances and following the regs to the letter.

I asked Dad if he would look into broadband while he was there and he scoffed at me Big Grin we are back in the office 1 day a week from September for a "phased return".
Had my cert emailed on the first week of it, was done in my gp so was expecting by post. Went to one place for indoor dining last week, guy had a half hearted look at the certs, didn't double check against ID, didn't take contact details of anyone indoors, the cleaning was sub standard as people left, I was so so uncomfortable. I even sanitised my arms where I was leaning on the table. So we said not going there again. Our second option, we went out there today but it was fairly packed outdoors (as much as it can be with distancing etc), it looked like wedding guests, nowhere to park, so in the end we went to the local centra for take away coffees and sat in the car at the harbour and chatted. My next real human interaction will be the tesco delivery on Saturday.
