New York beat Leitrim on penalties to win their first ever qualifier in the AI series, having entered for the first time in 1998. Penalties were poor enough (New York won 2-0 with Leitrim missing all 4 of theirs) but it was a decent game. End to end stuff. They now go on to face Sligo in the Connacht semi final, a win which would guarantee them a group stage place in the race for Sam....

Eurovision was fantastic this year. So many songs I liked & only a handful that I didn't.

My faves were Serbia, Georgia & Albania.
(Serbia's song instantly made me think of this song for anyone interested https://youtu.be/racmy7Y9P4M )

Cyprus & Ukraine were up there in my top faves too.
Both sounded like music from Zayn (former One Direction member) who's songs I always liked.

Am I the only one who completely ignored Eurovision again? Don't know what it is about it, but I just don't find it interesting anymore.

You both lost out 😛 it was a great final, imo.

Although I noticed its gone very 'english'. Not many countries were signing in their native language. I used to love thst.

Finland I thought were funny until they nearly won the game. If they did win, I wouldn't have been as happy with that result.

Sweden won (in case you both didn't hear lol) & it was well deserved! I loved their other song too in their previous win in 2012.
