Rain pounding on a tent, when you are snuggled up and dry inside, is so calming. I love it.

I think rain is highly under appreciated. The sound of it is great. And it keeps us green and beautiful. Back when I ran, I used to love running in the rain. If it was rain+wind+cold then it could fuck right off, but rain alone was actually really nice (much nicer than running in a sweltering hot day), and you could come home and immediately hop in the shower and be all cosy again.
Rain can be great in the right situation alright. But walking through Dublin on my way to the office for the first time in three years it can fuck right off!

Luckily the bus was really early so I'm hiding in a dry cafe for a bit

Hah, yeah, I love it as long as I'm not outside in it!
I dont particularly like it but quite often I play well when it rains. Most golfers whinge and moan and struggle in it but i just get on with it.

I'm the same in the rain, actually love a small bit of rain when playing
Sofaside, more tedious, boring, mind numbing drawing to do. But at least I can stay in my pjs under my comfy blanket
I'd have thought something like that was meant to be fun, not a chore?

Ah I like painting, printing, digital stuff, sculpture. I just find drawing accurately and with tones only to be incredibly boring. And something I need to really work on, so I get frustrated easily. Takes a lot of concentration too
This is the photo I'm working off

And my drawing progress (will be ignoring the background)

Blush thanks. Have to finish that one and then do 2 more, and a bit of sketchbook work, due this day next week.
Wow, that's brilliant @nothing! If it's for your course doublecheck if you need to include the background. To my very non-artistic eye the apple looks like the most difficult part.

Lol, it was actually the teacher who said to ignore the background Smile

Well then, let's pretend this never happened! Angel Cool
That's amazing @nothing

Drawing is one thing I could never get my head around, I can barely do a stick figure!

I'm so bad at art that I failed it in the Inter (Junior Cert for all you young folk).  I'm told that's almost impossible. Big Grin

Nothing is impossible if you don't try at all pac

I wasn't allowed to do art in secondary because it was "a lot of work" and only came back to it in late 20s

It was a compulsory exam subject in my school up to the Inter.  Unsurprisingly I didn't do it for the Leaving.

Oh wow, even I managed a C in art for my inter! Big Grin

I was encouraged not to take it as a leaving cert option though.Tongue
@Rachel Stevens on a Pogo Stick did you see Little Big Town will be supporting The Eagles in the Aviva next year?
High fives to all my Inter Cert buddies!!

Didn't do Art in mine. I have zero artistic ability in any format whatsoever.

As do I, and I even have a certificate to prove it Big Grin
When I say no artistic ability I don't just mean drawing. I can't sing either. In school choir I was told to mouth the words and not sing!

Haha my nun teacher in third class made me do this too!

Funny enough, I think I fail art also in my Junior cert and it is my favourite hobby now. Smile

Big Grin

I was in the choir in primary school.  Then my voice broke...
In retrospect I'm actually pretty pissed off by it. I thought the point of school was to teach you things. But it seemed unless you were already able to sing you weren't taught how to, and were basically just left to your own devices.

I'd agree there. There was no effort to teach singing in my primary school.
Love singing , just very bad at it ! @quickbeam , was told the same in primary school by the Nun in charge of singing , just mime the words .. funny how I can still see her saying it , over forty years later .

Happy Win The Euromillions Day folks pac
I love singing too (if you could call it that). Though nowadays it's reserved for the car, with the sound system loud enough to drown me out, and never in traffic where I might be overheard Smile
Ha ha Quickbeam, same here !
High five Mam!
Happy Friday folks!
I love drawing and sketching.. my issue is that I never follow through really and start stuff and never finish it.. case in point..I started this last march I think pac

Self portrait?
Another one here told to mime by a nun, she'd have had a stroke if she ever saw me 'dance'.

A few drinks and I think I'm great at both though. Big Grin
Bloody nuns
