Most likely option to me. Also you are one of the few people to reference Maeve.

Murder in plain sight, whoever you vote for is murdered. So you voted off wagon. Because otherwise what is the point in wasting it on someone who is likely to be banished anyway.
How you voted was confusing as you clarified Magda not Maeve, hence Lorcan getting confused too.

Fits as far as I can see.
It seems like the best candidate for it at the moment anyway.

I've checked back over all of yesterday's posts looking for sentences or posts beginning with MAEVE or MADAM but I couldn't spot anything

I don’t think voting off wagon would be the mechanic as I wasn’t the only one to do so, therefore we can’t all be traitors

I'm claiming that voting for her was the mechanic.
You voted off wagon in this scenario as it's a waste of a kill otherwise if you placed a kill on someone who was banished beforehand.

I think the Prada call out was more likely

So you think whoever I voted for was going to be the murder in plain sight and I chose to go for someone with no other votes and therefore making it stand out when she died? If that was the mechanic and I was a traitor I would have voted for someone who had votes but wasn’t already in danger of banishment

I don't think a murder in plain sight is as easy as a post talking to a user once over the day.
That's too easy. There has to be something we are missing.
I tried earlier going back over posts looking for Magda in them, across the post with capital letters etc. I'll start again with Maeve, but I don't think it's going to be something as glaringly obvious as one mention of the player.

The Prada post doesn't look like much to me. Unless they had to ask someone three questions in a row to trigger their death. Which might work as a concert.

@Pat the Baker I do find the Maeve/Magda confusion a little bit suss given how it has played out now with lorc aswel.

@Betty the Beggar not fully sold on your story either.

I would be happy to race the above two with @Zeena Warrior Princess also up for consideration.

I have a bad feeling that Zeena is a noisy faithful.

Suss about the Betty self pres that was not a guaranteed self pres.

Would it not be best to focus on people likely to have ordered kill on Maeve.

Contenders noted as:
Prada: Direct interaction with Maeve. Mechanic: Possibly they had to ask someone a certain number of questions in a row to trigger death.
Pat: the Maeve/Magda confusion. Mechanic: whoever they voted for would be killed.

Any other likely contenders for kill in plain sight.

Traitors would have realized the murder in plain sight mistake when lorc posted on thread this morning at the same time as us.

Do we think they stay quiet or lean into it?

Not saying that.
Traitors have a backroom where I'm sure they were discussing who to murder in plain sight. I am suggesting that both Magda and Maeve were up for that discussion.
Not saying you committed the murder in plain sight but I think you were part of that discussion in a back room and that you went on to confuse the two on thread yesterday.
Probable: maybe
Impossible: certainly not

You are clutching at straws here but isn't this a fine distraction to the vote manipulation at banishment.
Wagonomics is a lot stronger evidence of alignment than a one post mentioning a player.

FYI mods
I am back getting MySQL errors again on the thread as I try go back over posts, I don't know why they keep coming up for me?

I've gone back over the posts before and after the vote and the only fleeting thing I've found is the misspelling of Maeve/Mauve by Gordon. Could be nothing but could be that small action that offed her. Also e and u are not next to each other on the keyboard...

I'd be inclined to flip either Betty or Gordon.

It wouldn't be just interacting with a player. It would have to be doing so using some mechanic that could possibly suss you out if used unwisely. You know that.
Your post to Maeve looks reasonable at first glance, but you asked three questions in a row of them. That could be the format that was asked of you.

The problem with using it on Betty is that since she's suspected by many of being a traitor - if you say she's not, we'll still need to flip one of you to verify that you're not a traitor.

I'd probably peek Zeena as her flip might tell us more about the wagonomics last night

Obvious in the "mob" sense. So many people are on her, that if she was a traitor, it would be seen as a waste.

So if I remove my newly established faithful core and subtract them from the 10 winners of yesterday's game, it leaves

Benji
Ina
Prada
Friar
Laura( won a seer prize today)
Pat.

I think one of Benji, Ina, Prada, Friar or Pat is a wolf and used a vote power won yesterday

I mean... I don't disagree with you. I never supported the Betty theory and now here I am saying I KNOW she's a faithful. Pretty risky move though, if she was a traitor? So, she gets voted out, reveals she is a traitor and now the faithfuls have Vincent AND me. 3 traitors with one stone. Why would I do that?
