25 players have descended on this Irish Website, to play the ultimate murder mystery game, in the hope of winning the respect of Forum Gamers. Hidden amongst them are The Traitors- who meet in secret & decide who to murder- while The Faithful must banish them before it’s too late. Get them, before they get you.

“Welcome players. I must say, you’re all looking fabulous. Well, most of you are anyway. A few of you look like you could do with a good shower.

I have gathered you all here at the Round Table & in a moment I will select my Traitors (in truth, the Rand Gods will). Before they are selected, I want you to look at the person to your left and right. Can you trust them? Soon, you almost certainly can not. Be warned, this game may not play out exactly as you think it will, even based on previous versions of The Traitors.

For now, sit back, relax, put your blindfold on, check your PMs & await further instructions. Welcome… To The Traitors”


Game Rules:
1) Once you are killed/banished do not post in the thread again. Editing posts is a strict no-no in Werewolf. Please remember this and also, dead players do not thank other players posts

2) Don’t cheat, it’s a game that relies heavily on the players having integrity. No PMing other players in the game, and no chat about the game outside of this game thread. If you have any concerns about the game mechanics or the integrity of other players contact Lorcand1990 who will make a decision. Do not discuss any of this in game or elsewhere. Always remember the mods may have secrets, though there are no hidden roles in this game. If you wish to discuss the game as a spectator, PM Lorcand1990 for the discord link.

3) Please all try to reasonably contribute to the game thread and always remember to get a vote in as a minimum. There is no post minimum. Players will have to deal with non-posters themselves at the Round Table…. 2 missed votes will result in a banishment.

4) Round Table Discussion: Instead of the usual ‘Lynch’ or ‘Yeet’ that occurs in Werewolf, this is now replaced with Banishment. At 6pm each evening starting from Monday the Round Table Discussion will begin and players can openly discuss in this thread who they wish to Banish. You can of course discuss dodgy behaviour before 6pm, it just becomes a bit more formal at 6pm. The voting takes place ON THREAD between 8.30pm and 9.30pm, after which the player with the most votes will be banished and enter the circle of truth to reveal their alignment (or the mod will do it if they are not available within approx 10 minutes). If you are not available for the voting period, you can PM Lorcand1990 with a proxy vote which will then be announced on thread for you at the beginning of the voting period.
To vote, please clearly state VOTE then the player name you wish to vote for. Once declared you can’t change your vote.

5) Traitor's Offer/Ultimatum: This will be clearly announced if/when it is used. (For those not familiar with the series the Traitors can choose a Faithful and try to recruit them to their ranks. The Faithful has the option of whether to switch allegiances and become a Traitor, or to refuse the offer and remain a Faithful.) The consequences of refusal could be disastrous

6) No posting of any PM's from the game mod or referring or alluding to the content of them.

7) The game will start with a soft launch on Sunday with no banishment taking place that day. The thread will be opened in the morning at 8am. Morning Announcements will take place at 10am. The thread will be locked overnight from 11pm to 8am. NO POSTING BETWEEN 11pm & 8AM PLEASE

8) In the event of a tie at the Banishment Phase, there will be 1 round of re-voting. If there is still a tie the player banished will be selected by fate.

9) Daily competitions will run on the first three days minimum beginning with Monday. A prize or prizes will be on offer for the winners. Further information to follow after the morning announcements regarding this. NO CONFERRING ON ANY TASKS BETWEEN ANY PLAYERS, INCLUDING TRAITORS.

10) Policy on Abuse: By all means, call people on dodgy behaviour, point out if they are being silly or behaving strangely, be aggressive in your approach; but DO NOT abuse another player. If you feel another player has stepped over a line, the first step is to ask them to stop; if they do not, please PM a forum mod (Trigger) or use the report button on the post in question. Mods will investigate and action any issues at an appropriate time, keeping the game mods informed of any actions if needed.

11) Have fun, make memes, take the piss and try to enjoy the game. Having fun is the aim!!

12) Win conditions: The game ends when the players unanimously vote to do so (or when only 2 players remain). If the remaining players are all Faithful then the Faithful win. If there is a single Traitor (or more) remaining when the game is ended by the players, the Traitors win. The players cannot vote to end the game until the Final Banishment stage begins. Individual win conditions are slightly different to how Traitors usually work. This is fully a team game. If 2 Faithful wins, the entire Faithful team wins. If 1 Traitor wins, the entire Traitor team wins.

13) Final Banishment phase: This will begin when the number of players = 'x' (an already decided number by Lorcand1990). It is not reliant on a certain number of either Faithful or Traitors remaining. In fact, theoretically the Traitors could all be banished by the time it begins but again - when to end the game is determined by you, the players (or if just 2 of you are left).

25 players is a hefty number. This could be a marathon game.

I'm thinking 4 traitors initially, so 21-4 in our favour, but they can obviously recruit as the game progresses.

Competitions on the first 3 days. Shields, daggers, double votes, block votes possibly up for grabs.
