Round 5 theme is Disco

[Image: disco-emblem-neon-lights-vector-22912165.jpg]
ARIS - Jimmy Somerville & Sarah Jane Morris - Don't leave Me This Way

WICHEY - Edinburgh's Got Soul Choir - Car Wash

SPEARS - Jennel Garcia - I Will Survive

SHANE - Stacy Ryan - Dancing Queen

LIZ - Just Kait - Hot Stuff

NEO - JLS - Don't Stop Til You Get Enough

Songs thats didn't qualify for Round 5

DEJA BOO - Zach Martini - Boogie Shoes

NECRO - De Toppers - It's Raining Men

AARON - Isaac Stuart - Stayin' Alive

MAM - Soft Cell - Tainted Love

Yes I know, Liz's nomination is not live. I'm keeping it in though, please judge it fairly.
I propose that we allow @Necro back in the competition, his selection today was absolutely fantastic - Never heard of De Toppers but I know Gerard Joling that participates in them, that's a name/blast from the past that I have totally forgotten about!!

Jokes aside, in the competition section, my favourite of the day is @Wichita Lineman  - bold and different.
Also special mention to @Neowise - this was decent.
Not a fan of the lower key/acoustic versions - disco is for the dancefloor!!! (God, I think I'm getting old  Big Grin Big Grin  Big Grin )
As we are reaching the finals, I will reveal the format so contesants can prepare. Of course, only two of you will be there.

Each contestant will nominate 3 songs, from any genre, not just those themes in the game so far. The songs have to be live covers also. You will PM them to me and I will post them
The winner will be the contestant with the most votes via PM to me. Everyone can vote.
If there is a tie, the judges will decide the winner.

So, time to start thinking what you might choose for the final, hopefully when we reach it you will have your songs choosen. I would advise you to take note of what has scored high so far with regards to music genre and song arrangment.

PS. don't PM me anything yet until we reach the final
I love Jimmy Somerville, he could be singing words of algebra and I'd still vote for him !

I was only kicked out anyways cos the judges have an anti-Sligo bias Tongue apart from nothing of course, she's lovely Wink
That's so true!
This round was superb and I rolled my eyes when I saw disco. Big Grin

All the songs are brilliant!
@ShaneU's song from the contentants left was my favourite.

The losers lounge came up trumps today.

@DejaBoo another great selection from you here. The singer is a tasty little au d'oeuvre too. Nice before the main course below Big Grin  ..

@Necro's song was total cheese! and I loved it. What a nice treat for us all   Tongue

@aaronjennings Another brilliant submission from you here!
It's the only one i'm adding to my playlist. Was my overall favourite of the day  Heart

I'm sorry
Aris and Neo, it's time to FACE THE MUSIC.

Both acts have been here before, let's hear it judges.

ARIS - Jimmy Somerville & Sarah Jane Morris - Don't leave Me This Way

NEO - JLS - Don't Stop Til You Get Enough

It's nearly Showtime!
Easy enough decision for me tonight, as one of these songs I actually enjoyed quite a bit (it just wasn't in the same league as the 2 songs I gave thanks to in this round), and the other song I found to be a very one note and fairly bland cover...

Will be sorry to see either Aris or Neo go as I think both have had some excellent entries throughout, but someone has to leave and based on the two songs above...

My Choice To Go Home This RoundShow Content
My Top Performer of the round tonight was...

It can certainly sway my voting anyway  Big Grin

I'm fond of giving aul Springsteen a vote just for his sexiness even though I don't even know/like much of his music  Tongue
I'll admit my submission today was my least favourite of all mine.

I don't know why, but i'm a bit meh with it.

Like it's a good cover, and the girl has a great voice, but the song itself doesn't do much for me. I haven't even added it to my playlist  Confused
My vote to go home is Neo. I preferred Aris' song.
Going home tonight is @Neowise . Thank you for playing,  hope you hang around for the rest of the show.

Let's hear that song again.

Tonight's highest scoring song was Spears - I will survive, great choice again.

Tomorrow we slow it down a little, it's Love Songs week

Thanks as always, see you then.
Well played Neo, sorry to see you go.
Hard luck Neo. I would also have voted for you, sorry!
Keep on with the force don't stop, don't stop until you get enough @Neowise is O, oh, oh, oh D.I.S.C.O. !
This is my favourite round of the game, really captures the essence of the contest and has some of my favourite performances of the game so far. One of the players already out really smashes it this week
Round 6 theme is Love Songs

ARIS - Sam Fischer - Truly Madly Deeply

WICHEY - Marti Pellow & The RTE Concert Orchestra - Love Is All Around
