Yeah it is likely produced somewhat, you can judge the song arrangement. Don't speak is also just a vocal cover though I'm sure it is live.

hopefully everyone is okay with them, I was okay to let them pass.

She plays all the instruments and backing vocals pac Unless she has Doctor Manhattan powers I can safely say it's not live Big Grin I'm not asking it to be removed just pointing it out
That was the hardest selection so far, I think there were six that I wanted to vote for, had to narrow it down to half the field
I voted all as I liked all is that allowed @Kol

That's beautiful, he has a lovely tender voice.

He can sing to me any time! Tongue

Also I vote for Mam for the win. I saw this PSB tour live in Dublin and they were absolutely fantastic!!
It wasn't this tour, but I saw them in 2009 (I think) and they were unreal! Love a bit of PSB. As covers go, their version of Streets Have No Name/Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You is inspired

Afraid I didn't love Tori there Confused
On paper it's perfect, Tori Amos is brilliant, the song is brilliant and the style could work but the arrangement seemed a little off to me. Sorry

Don't you mind them Shane - that was the best of this round! Loved it, great to hear a new twist on old songs like that. That's the sort of act I'd love to catch at a festival, drunk in a field at 3pm Big Grin

Was the same for me with that song too.

Couldn't put it into words though myself, just felt a bit weird to me.

I didn't know what to make of Shane's song. I didn't know if it were a joke or a real performance lol.
Sounded fun and upbeat but I laughed at it overall. When your man went to the audience, ah it was cringe. Think that's when I had enough, lol sorry Shane x

Also really liked Aaron's song. The lead fella done a great job.

The only reason I didn't vote for it was because I found it funny with them all stuffed into the kitchen corner lol.

The rest of the band were very robotic too but when they did move, it all looked very awkward. Think your man needs to ditch the family (even though they sounded great) and go seek his fame as a solo act.

Anyway, I think I was just in an overcritical mood earlier. Got a bit of a laugh out of some of the songs anyway lol

Aaron and Shane, it's time to FACE THE MUSIC

Over to the judges

AARON - Sonata - I'd Do Anything For Love

SHANE - The Baseballs - Bitch

Tougher decision than I thought here...

Aaron - I'd Do Anything For Love bores me, but as a cover for a song I'm not mad about, this was decent enough, and your entries in the first 2 rounds were very strong, so I had high hopes to see you go far in the competition to the point I'm wondering if past performances are enough for me to save you here.

Shane - On my first listen today, your entry didn't particularly stand out, but when I listened through all the songs again, I really enjoyed it, and was in the Top Half of this rounds entrants for me, so if I just go by the two songs in front of me now you're sitting pretty, however if I take past performances into account as well, its a much closer battle between yourself and Aaron.

With all that said, here's my verdict...

My Vote Is To Send HomeShow Content
Please sir, can I have some more (time to prove myself worthy)?

And for my favourite performance of the night...

Two out of three ain't bad......
I was tempted to appeal to the judges with a classic X-Factor sob story, but couldn't be bothered Big Grin

Good luck to the remaining competitors, looking forward to seeing what the future entries hold
Leg end still has to vote no? I thought it was tied
After an exceptional start, leaving tonight is @aaronjennings Thanks you for playing.

It seems the judges wouldn't do anything for love so let's hear that loosing song one last time.

Tonight's highest scoring song was Dont Speak by Neo, well done.

Thanks everyone for voting, tomorrow we go back a little further, it's 80s Classics week.

See you then.
I'd have gone for Shane, I love the original version. It should be mean, aggressive and well, bitchy, not a boppy 50s version.

But ignore me, no one else agrees with me. Tongue

Erm cough's, I fixed your post there Kol Tongue

My favourite song so I wouldn't have mistaken who submitted it  Shy

Liz's song was a close second for me..

Edit: Oops this was Witchy's submission, but not the actual winner it seems

It was 'Dont Speak' for Neo that won. I submitted 'Torn'.

Why cover a song to have it sound the same? None of my entries are like the original versions
I love that Meatloaf song* Heart

What is wrong with all your cold hearts!

*I think its his only song I know too lol
Sorry to see you go Aaron, always a shame to lose anyone, and if there's ever a 2nd Season of The FOG Factor with returning contestants, probably best to avoid Meatloaf covers next time around...
hmm, i didn't enter torn. i entered Rob Lundgren's cover of no doubts, dont speak.

edit: i see it's been resolved before i could tyoe this up.
Sorry, Dont Speak by Neo was tonights highest scoring song, post updated.

And, for the love of good music, Natalie Imbruglia was not the original of Torn!
You should know Kol, I entered this into your walrus...

The girl has a great voice in the original, but Natalie Imbruglia's version is better I think..
So then mine was a cover version of a cover version and that can only be good right?

I thought this might have been mentioned. That Endasawp version is shyte, I only recognise the Natelia version which is by far the ultimate version.

You more than anyone should know that @E.N., I will quote my review from last year Smile

Quote:Ednaswap - Torn

Heard the artist: No
Heard the song: No

My rating: ★★☆☆☆

Review

Again, a song I knew was covered but not sure if I heard this version. It is not the original version of the song but the first English version. Difficult to review this without comparing it to the Natalie version which I love. I hate the guitar sound in this song. The vocal key changes in the cover are not all here which is also kind of distracting. If this was the only version of this song I definitely would not be a fan of it. I just don’t like the sound from this band. I gave this an average rating because I like the song but not this version.
Well @Kol , I'm sure I informed you at the time that you were wrong, but some people never learn Tongue
Round 4 theme is 80s classics
