Turkey is horrible stuff. Always hated it.

Although I had Christmas at home last year for the first time and got a small crown of turkey for the kiddo's, and it wasn't half bad actually.

I'm sure i'll grab one again this year for them and try a small slice of it to see if it's grown on me

FWIW, if you offered me turkey in July, I definitely wouldn't eat it.
I love turkey , and if I was out somewhere and it was on the menu I'd order it .
I'd like it noted I did waay better than Trigger but I'm not mentioning it or posting any teasing GIFs cause I'm not petty like *some* people.

Same, we had turkey for dinner this evening! It was like a mini Christmas dinner - roast turkey breast,, roast potatoes, brussel sprouts and stuffing. Yum!

Trigger did it!!!!
Not too bothered with turkey, though don't mind it on a sandwich. They're are so many nicer roasting birds.

This year I'm going bone-in beef rib roast from the local butcher, and I am very much looking forward to it. Thankfully I'm only catering for myself, so don't have to please anyone else

I bet there will be a sprouts question!
Sprouts? Or as we jokingly call them baby cabbages ! Love them , they taste different depending on how they're cooked though .

I agree. I did a bacon and brussel sprout hash the other evening, and they were completely different to the ones that I just boiled tonight.

Both. But even before being vegetarian I didn't care for it. I'd quite like the brown meat, but the white meat was always dry and yukky to me.

Why is it that I really like cabbage but hate sprouts??

I’d just like to point out that I want to have turkey this year and have ordered one but a certain Advent sheep player’s parents are cooking lamb so that’s what I’ll be eating.

Very versatile little balls of green goodness they are !
There are nicer things than turkey but my Dad likes it so it gets cooked, I figured more people would do it out of tradition.
Sprouts I could do without, my brother fries them off in butter with smoked bacon lardons, which just about makes them edible Wink
I love Turkey, I'd eat it all year round.. especially love a carvery that serves turkey and ham all year round nom nom nom..

Sprouts can fuck right off..

And don't even get me started on that bread sauce pile of puke bleugh
Thanks to my friend @DejaBoo for getting my answer in I'm holding steady in 25th! Woo hoo!

Every single year as we sit down to eat Christmas dinner my dad says

"Looks like mam made a balls of the cabbage!"

Every. Single. Year.

It should be noted that I too like turkey and would eat it at any time of the year, but mammy Zaph used up a couple from the flock in the freezer recently and is now sick of cooking them, so its lamb for the first time ever.  There's usually also a whole flock of lamb's legs in the freezer, it's like the bloody Tardis in there.

Now, whether you're having turkey or not, you need something to go with it. And these guys seem to divide opinion...

#Advent Question 9:
Given the choice, would you like Brussel Sprouts on Christmas Day?
What percentage of players do you think will say yes?

PMs to me before this evening, reveal about 9

I knew it! I think my prediction should remove 50 points from my total. Angel

I've consulted with the executive committee but I'm afraid they said no

Never a fan of that 'those who smelt it, dealt it'. Its very victim blamey! It doesn't account for the person who smelt it first, but is keeping quiet hoping that nobody else smells it or says anything.
