The little biyeen and the little princess (my niece and nephew) both bring me so much joy 😁

I went to a table quiz and we won! €80! Between us, but still!
Oh and I also had proper pints in a proper pub.
Don't know what I'm more jealous of, getting to go to a proper real life pub quiz or having proper pints.

It's on every Wednesday in The Circular in Rialto. It was great fun, even if my head is pounding today.
Both kids got their first Covid vaccine today. We had to wait four weeks cos the eldest had Covid in early January and with the youngest turning 5 last Friday the timings lined up perfectly. No tears at all with the jab and we're off to pick up a takeaway treat and some ice cream for them being so good about it all Big Grin
First food box order on de way. Hopefully there'll be pasta tonite!
IHB I've cancelled my plans today (because of the weather, which isn't even that bad compared to this morning).

I'm gonna take it easy at home, pig out on food and munchies, and just chill for the day  Cool
Two of my favorite little people (the little biyeen and the little princess) came to visit  Big Grin and when they were getting ready to leave I was trying to make them laugh by putting on the little princesses shoes, the biyeen roared laughing and told me I was silly  Big Grin but the little princess was not impressed and scolded me Blush  and told me  " they mi hoes hoes" and was showing me where mine were and gave me her cross little face look  Big Grin , I love seeing them, they both bring me so much joy.
It is my nephew's 7th birthday today so rang him to wish him happy birthday. He said "Thank you, I love you, thanks for my present and for coming to see me this weekend!"

I also booked my holiday for the summer. We are going to Alaska!

I'm happy today that I got to potter around a few shops, pick up a few bits to use in my printmaking and that I got to have my first in person psychiatrist appointment in over 2 years.

Quote:Over the years, some activists have gone to farms to release mink from their cages, including in Donegal in 2010, where up to 5,000 mink were released, many of which escaped into the wild.
My family are from a tiny island in Donegal, which you can walk to at low tide but then gets cut off when the tide comes in. There's a good few mink there now, it's really cool. No idea where exactly they came from, but I'd say there's a good chance it's ones that were freed like this

Now I hope they take the next logical step and ban puppy farming here, or at least stop giving them government grants for doing it. Angry
The problem with the banning of fur farming is that the mink still in captivity are likely going to be all euthanized now Sad

They are, but they have a miserable existence. At least it will end here. Who still wears fur anyway apart from musty old ladies?

Fur trade's not only cruel it's dangerous too. Remember how they had to destroy millions of mink in fur farms across Europe because they were creating a mutant form of covid and passing it on to workers.
Then they started giving off dangerous gases from the mass-graves so they had to be dug up again and burned.
Jesus Butty, that's horrific.

They are used in expensive paint brushes, so they don't have to be worn.
