I was researching and there are numerous dates when people say the Christmas season ends. Some even say you can leave it up until Candlemass which is the 2nd of February.

Is this a common problem ? I mean, shouldn't there be a warning on the box ? Can you return any extra babies to the shop ?
I wish to apologize to Mo4 for some pretty strange ideas due to misreading.
6 Jan is epiphany. Major holiday here, more or less everything shut ( even the money grubbing foreigners - read Carrefour & Lidl ) buses on Christmas Day schedule. I was brought up that today is the day to take down The Tree and generally disassemble Christmas.
