Trying not to get annoyed and just focus on the positive, it'll be amazing when we do finally get it Fingers crossed for yours RE: The Foggies Christmas thread - Kol - 11-10-2021 Merry Christmas @Trigger RE: The Foggies Christmas thread - ShaneU - 11-10-2021 No no no please no. I agree about the music, I do get fed up of that as its always the same songs on loop, drives me crazy. But I'm indifferent to when Christmas starts to be mentioned, but it seems like one of those things you have to pick a side on! RE: The Foggies Christmas thread - Mam of 4 - 12-10-2021 Ooh I just remembered! We have @E.N. Christmas Advent Calendar to look forward to also !! (Please EN say that we do , if you're not too busy this year) RE: The Foggies Christmas thread - E.N. - 12-10-2021 (12-10-2021, 07:17 PM)Mam of 4 Wrote: Ooh I just remembered! Yep, Deja's already been encouraging me in the Halloween Heeps thread New year, new location, new advent calendar theme! This year could be even more controversial than normal! Have 19 questions written. Struggling a bit then, but plenty of time to get five more RE: The Foggies Christmas thread - nothing - 12-10-2021 How's everyone's prep going? I've informed family I'm staying home, have 3 of 7 presents bought, ideas for 2 more. Thinking of getting a prime rib joint from the butchers for dinner on the day, have yet to think about sides. RE: The Foggies Christmas thread - Mam of 4 - 12-10-2021 It'll be just me and son here @nothing . Quiet day . I must admit , I love my Christmas dinner , a good fire , then feet up watching either Willie Wonk a or Harry Potter ! RE: The Foggies Christmas thread - nothing - 12-10-2021 Dinner is just me here, I've done goose the last 2 years, delicious, but pricey! In other years I've done duck, beef Wellington, salmon en croute. I usually end up eating it for a week, but I don't mind that. RE: The Foggies Christmas thread - Mam of 4 - 12-10-2021 Ooh lovely, I'd eat any of those too tbh . I stick with the old turkey and ham , a little bit of roast beef here . Keep saying I'll get a small turkey , never do though lol , which was just as well last year ! Anyhow, yep , I eat it for days here too , I don't mind either! RE: The Foggies Christmas thread - nothing - 12-10-2021 I'm not pushed on either roast turkey or ham as dinner meats. I try to do most of the cooking/prep on xmas eve otherwise I end up eating dinner at 9pm because I get distracted by TV. RE: The Foggies Christmas thread - Mam of 4 - 12-10-2021 Same here Nothing , Christmas Eve is the busy day , I cook the meat and prep the veg . Kind of like a Saturday for Sunday dinner , everything was always got ready on the Saturday when we were growing up , same with Christmas Eve. RE: The Foggies Christmas thread - DejaBoo - 13-10-2021 You people do wha??? Holy christmas cookie, I am such a slug - lucky to just get out o' bed on the day, cannot fathom how to even cook a goose (or beef, ham, turkey, or duck!) Does sound lovely, though! I used to attend Christmas Eve mass - miss those days. RE: The Foggies Christmas thread - Zaph - 13-10-2021 Even though it was just the two of us, we went the whole hog with a turkey and ham last Christmas. Well worth every minute of meat sweats. RE: The Foggies Christmas thread - ari101 - 13-10-2021 Even if it is only 3 of us I do some of both (no whole turkey here in years thankfully) keep Dad happy. I really do like the sandwiches though Lots of stuffing nom nom nom... RE: The Foggies Christmas thread - DejaBoo - 13-10-2021 That sounds yummy ari ...wasn't there an episode about a similar sammich on Friends, lol RE: The Foggies Christmas thread - Declan A Walsh - 13-10-2021 (11-10-2021, 10:15 PM)Neowise Wrote:(11-10-2021, 09:37 PM)ShaneU Wrote: No no no please no.
