Shooters shoot.

Moe is either playing with free abandonment of a NRV or a sneaky wolf looking to hide up top and put focus on low lying posters. Odds of him being a good roled player and posting this strong from the off is low.

The way I see it, it'd be a 50/50 shot for hitting a wolf. And that's a risk I'm willing to take. Pew Pew.

Officer Nolan, you will lead the task force and I will expect you to use all of your various skills to hunt these down. I've equipped your shop with the most modern facial recognition software to help you, shoot to kill if necessary but remember to protect your team first and foremost.

Seer and seems to have a shot too.

Lopez will provide you cover with the long gun each day, unfortunately her nanny is sick and Wesley is here so she won't be able to provide this during the night.

Lopez is the vig.

But don't worry, each night Harper is taking on an undercover assignment and will try to infiltrate the various locations that we think they are hiding. She will keep tabs on various people until the time is right.

Harper seems to have a tracker role which will I presume detect a night action, could be a RV as well as a wolf though.

Bradford, you will provide support and protection to the team and the wider officers during this investigation. If anyone gets too close, step in and shut it down.

BG

It might be a good idea to have everyone say who they would peek/shoot/track/protect.

Some players have the same number of posts regardless of alignment, that's not a reason to shoot.

I've no bullets yet. Just an empty clip for Officer Magda... but when I do... My Uncle Arthur used to have a saying: "Shoot 'em all and let God sort 'em out.'

Who would you choose? Also would this give the wolves a list of whom they could block the actions of? Or is that just highly unlikely to be relevant at this stage?

I acknowledged in that first post that I too was a no poster so didn't bother to post then grab the list for some kind of clout.

I've found the post lists helpful before and other players have presented these in the past which I was most grateful for. So if you don't see any value that's fine but also if people aren't contributing then that can't be let slide either.
There's value in the list absolutely but there's no value in posting the list and naming out a few players for vibe. It's comes across as posting for post sake to get your count up..... And in you're own words that's the vibe I get from you.

Atfternoon all.

Dexter asked who the newbies were. I've not played werewolf, but I've played social deduction things offline (at a far smaller, simpler scale), and enjoy Traitors and Survivor. So know the gist but will have some questions along the way.

One thing I'd say is Dexter was asking this with the friendly context of saying newbies shouldn't be targeted tonight. I'd rather not be ignored just cause I've not played before, right? If people want to vote for me, whatevers. I'd rather people didn't vote for me cause they think I'm good, not cause i'm new. It feels a dodgy idea to just write us off as potential targets though, cause newbies could be wolves, right?

Also, Robin was doing a read through, but both missed the posts before my "accusations" post leading up to it (people asking me to start the accusations), and also missed my post about starting a support group for newbies. The former had a few posts leading up to it too, so I'm curious how Robin missed them in their read through. Kind of feels like they did a very quick skim but not a genuine "read every post" readthrough.

@Friar Tuck
peek/shoot/track/protect

I would Peek Ina May (Moe forgetting her in the low count posters and her calling him out could be a team work play but not much else to go on here)

I would shoot Moe - reasons given above

I would track - Countess

I would protect Friar Tuck - (All posts seem fair and knowledgeable)

Should we declaring who we would protect out tho? Is that not helping the wolves? Like if I was to say I would like to protect x because I think he is Officer Nolan surely that helps the wolves decide come munch time?

I think your maths are a bit made up there!

If I had called out low posters & been the 2nd or 3rd top poster, would it have made a difference?

I get where you're coming from but you're not being written off as a potential wolf just for being a newbie. It's more to give an amnesty for the first lynch so you get to experience a bit of time in the game.

Yes I think any of the top 3 calling out low posters would have caught my eye. Team of 3 wolves traditionally have a top, middle and low poster.

It's kinda an unwritten rule that we don't kill a brand new player straight away

If a newbie is a wolf they can be caught/killed on D2 onwards but we want players to play again & experience the game so that's why the rule is there

@Benjamin the Alchemist in relation to not targeting new players tonight, it's absolutely possible they could be wolves or the sk but out of fairness to give new players more time to get a feel of the game we give them a pass night 1 and it's no holds barred from there.

Fair I'm happy not to tunnel on this as it is too early days, just giving my read and honest replies, if I'm wrong I'm wrong but I just read your assessment of low lying posters so early and ignoring Ina May as suss.

if anyone else has got any another suspicions I would like to hear them.

I'd stun Magda, not shoot her just yet. Anyone wanting to shoot so strongly this early is a loose cannon. It would be a ballsy wolf move so I'd lean not wolf and probably is village. Just needs to give her head a wobble.

I'd protect myself. A few good leans on people, but not enough to go protecting them just yet.

I'd peek Benj. I liked the post calling out people early but it's also a good wolf plot to call out people with not much to go on. So scratch that itch to see.

How accurate has the post count ever been as a metric? I assume people will post as much or as little as they would regardless of their role. Some people prefer (or can't help) posting loads. Some prefer to be quiet and watch and wait to contribute. Historically, is there anything backing a link between high/low post counts and being a wolf. Because this is my second game and it's same conversation... "there's a traitor/wolf in the low posts, there's one in the high posts and one in the middle". That reads like a random distibution of where we think wolves are based on post counts.

I'm of the same mind. The first post too just listing post counts (and now we've had so many posts focused on post counts) and naming 9 players they are suspicious of.
