I don't fully understand this either TBQH, however, on balance of probabilities, this by itself is not a smoking gun. The balance of probability points squarely at you.

Yet no other ring bearer used this power until last night ?

I reckon it was a power only available to the final ring bearer

So what you are saying Mick is that it is Laura who we need to lynch? Or at the very least, not Ben?

right now i'm leaning towards laura.

the main thing is that vincent voted laura, which should clear her and condemn ben. however, vincents vote was entirely irrelevant so should be discounted.

prob no shared backroom though, so hard to coordinate. and if too friendly on thread, the wolves would have picked up on this.

and just say you are a hobbit, and you know the other 3. which one do you chose to follow when it comes too votes?

No I believe that one of them is the final ring bearer and that is why the power was enacted last night and the reason to Bens question of why none of the other hobbits used it. I think we should lynch Ben as his story seems more unbelievable

But Vincent didn't know about the power, as both players claim. So he didn't know it would happen so his vote is relevant.

He couldn't risk staying on Laura if she is a wolf, as the vote was too close and they didn't know what way it would go.

Course they could though. On thread. They know they're good so they'll coordinate much easier with reads and votes

It's definitely ring connected anyways, the mods post even alluded to it

Initially I thought that it might be an auto power from Vinnie as captain of the Uruk-Hai protecting his leader, but based on the mod post I think the simplest explanation is that the ring randed the lynch onto someone voting Laura. Or possibly just amongst everyone else.

@Laura the Lace Mistress can you elaborate further?
One power of the ring is to change the lynch to guarantee a wolf is killed, the wolf is randed so Vincent was killed.
@William the Grave Robber, I posted this earlier, this answers your question.

Ben claims they knew each other, if this is what happened, he could tell us all day long. He didn't.

was only speculation. but wouldn't be surprised if they knew each other, they wouldnt share a backroom.

If Laura and the rest of you think I’m a wolf then, according to Laura, the ring had no need to change the lynch as a successful lynching was already guaranteed.

Laura does not have the ring but if you think she does then make her statement make sense.
You being lynched wasn't guaranteed, are you even reading the thread?

Edward switched to me just before 9, Frank didn't declare so it looked like I was gone as much as you.

Vincent, the flipped wolf, stayed on me, he wasn't worried about me being lynched. In fact, Ina has quoted the post where he said to either lynch me or lynch outside the two of us.

@William the Grave Robber, I posted this earlier, this answers your question.

which means what - regardless of who was lynched last night a wolf was dying?

i would guess any ring power (if it exists) would only work if the ring bearer was going to be lynched.

I felt it was obvious there was a wolf up for lunch due to the flurry of activity. I didn't want to give anything away and let the votes lie how they happened. I actually thought I would be the last vote, but was pipped by Edward.

i dunno. but i just cant buy that if i was gonna be lynched last night (or you, or whoever), a random wolf would have been lynched instead.

if this mechanic exists, it can only kick in if ring bearer is gonna by lynched IMO.

and if i believe that, i gotta vote laura.

Ben is a wolf, we didn't know each other.

Think about it, there was a SK, you, the seer, Prada had an alignment check, Vernon was Aragorn, Frank had a one off alignment check, Ina has her horn.

Now, if us four hobbits all knew each other how many wolves would be needed to balance that out? Unless most of you are wolves it just doesn't make sense.

No, it's was set in motion before the lynch because it looked like I was going.

Read back, no one seemed to have been reading the thread. I quoted Edward and dropped the hint, he didn't get it. It was Ina who had to point it out. I was scrambling and asking people to change, I had to set it in motion as no one was listening.

So you're going to believe that there were four hobbit villagers who knew each other from the start over some random ring theory.

Ok then.

i would guess any ring power (if it exists) would only work if the ring bearer was going to be lynched.

And even in spite of me being as subtle as a bull in a china shop, it had to be spelled out completely 😂

i dunno. but i just cant buy that if i was gonna be lynched last night (or you, or whoever), a random wolf would have been lynched instead.

if this mechanic exists, it can only kick in if ring bearer is gonna by lynched IMO.

and if i believe that, i gotta vote laura.

Are you just trolling us or trying to give Ben some false hope?
