I was holding back to see what Benjamin would come up with.

The ring randed the wolf that was lynched, brilliant result because we know Ben is a wolf and Vincent tried to save him.

another faced the cold ring of judgment, Vincent the Artist was lynched.

Initially I thought that it might be an auto power from Vinnie as captain of the Uruk-Hai protecting his leader, but based on the mod post I think the simplest explanation is that the ring randed the lynch onto someone voting Laura. Or possibly just amongst everyone else.

if the above is true, laura was for the chop anyway so had to counterclaim. though that would beg the question, why didnt vincent counterclaim?

Laura did not counter claim though. It was Benji who did so.

i got mixed up thinking laura counterclaimed ben. if that was the case, and laura was a wolf, it should have been vincent who counterclaimed.

however, it was actually ben that counterclaimed laura as per ina above, so you can ignore my theory here

I think we're either voting Laura or we're lynching outside the claims. There's no world where Benji pipes up there if he's a wolf.

Wtf is going on, I feel like I've about 10 pints in me reading the last few pages.

So laura or ben are the last hobbit? And we loose the game if we lynch the hobbit?

When the ben enter the race? Surely a wolf wouldnt pipe up this late, why?

Ben has been softing it all day - He could have been setting up for this, laying the groundwork or trying to get the last hobbit to out themselves. Then laura softed it and Ben hardened and now they are both locked in.

Looking at the vote history, Benji's voting does stand out. You would often see wolves in games afraid to vote on wagons and just sticking themselves on Ina and then Mick the last two days is a good way of anti-spewing themselves. Even if he flies solo on Mick again tonight and then Mick reveals as wolf tomorrow, I dont think that clears him because it could have been an elaborate plan devised by them to create separation from the outset. Everybody else has voted on wagon at least one other day.


Even outside of the claim, I think its unlikely that Ina votes Betty there. They have killed 2 villagers since also with early votes but I think those are victims of circumstance there rather than leading wagons to lynch villagers. If Laura is a villager, then we are looking to the day1 single voters to find wolves. That would be premier distancing

Vinnie does some wagonomics here.

It's interesting because wagonomics can't be faked so I think he's talking truth here as at this point yesterday it seems highly likely that Laura was getting the noose yesterday

One power of the ring is to change the lynch to guarantee a wolf is killed, the wolf is randed so Vincent was killed.

Yet, by some grace of fate, the exact location of the ringbearer remained veiled, a pinpoint of light shimmering maddeningly beyond their true grasp. Frustrated, the enemy could not precisely seize its prize. Instead, the wrathful will of Mordor lashed out, a sweeping, blind blow of pure malice directed at the suspected region. And there, amongst the innocent and the unwary, was struck down one known by the humble name of Maeve the Madam, who perished instantly, a tragic, unintended sacrifice to the eternal War.

The forces of evil are now more keenly attuned to the call and power of the ring, and desperately seek its call again, that their vision may, perchance, improve

As he fell, the One Ring slipped from his grasp to the ground. Hearing the call from down the path, another Hobbit ran screaming to the body of his friend. As his tears cleared, he saw the ring and understood the duty that now befell him. He picked up the ring and, vowing to avenge Frodo's death, turned towards Mordor

Emboldened by the fortune of yesterday, the forces of evil went out into the night, seeking to further strengthen their hand. Knowing few remained who could bear the responsibility of the One Ring, they sought a Hobbit, should one be unguarded in the darkness.

Perchance, as they approached the village, their evil gazes fell upon a Halfling sat crying alone, weeping for the loss of his closet friend. As they approached, he heard a sound and looked up in unfounded hope, calling out "Frodo, is that you?" but his hope was extinguished as fast as his life, the servants of Sauron cascading upon him with a fury.

Pat the Baker is dead. He was Samwise Gamgee, Hobbit of the Shire

I'm just trying to get all this clear in my head before Benjamin reappears and tries to cause confusion again. 
We can only have 4 hobbits. There are no other hobbits that they could be? 
Just trying to figure out if there is any way in which Benjamin is not wolf. Cover off that 1% doubt. 
The counterclaim seals it for me really.

The fact Edward was munched leads me to believe there's just Benjiwolf left amongst us.

With a trembling hand, he unclasped the broken chain and felt the cold weight of the world's peril settle into his own palm. He took the Ring.

Does three not seem low in the case of 16 original players? I don't know really.
I mean the two we have killed (by default or otherwise) are not Sauruman nor Sauron. I don't know enough about LOTR- in my head Sauron was just the big eye thingy (it's been a while since I watched, and my son who read all the books is away), but I take it "he" was a character of sorts, not just a spirit/being. Therefore it would make sense that he features in some capacity. So Ben is Sauraman, let's say. And then is there a greater evil in Sauron?
