in the movies, when you use the ring, the enemy can find you.

so maybe 2 of our hobbits used the ring, knowing the would be caught the next day, and knowing it would be passed onto the next hobbit.

i'm only spitballing here.

Was just reading back and that's not quite correct William.

The Nazgul and Sauron can tell when the ring is used given their ties to it (the nazgul are the dead human kings who Sauron gifted the rings to), but the other enemies cannot.

We lynched the Nazgul king day 1 and I doubt the ring was used at that point so I'd say wolves are blind.

UNLESS Sauron is a physical wolf in this game but I don't think it fits given how true to the lore the game has stayed so far

I mean the two we have killed (by default or otherwise) are not Sauruman nor Sauron. I don't know enough about LOTR- in my head Sauron was just the big eye thingy (it's been a while since I watched, and my son who read all the books is away), but I take it "he" was a character of sorts, not just a spirit/being. Therefore it would make sense that he features in some capacity. So Ben is Sauraman, let's say. And then is there a greater evil in Sauron?

Sauron doesn't have a physical presence in any of the LOTR movies or books.

I think if the line of hobbits was extinguished, then Sauron would take physical form and smite the whole damn lot of us because the ring would fall into the hands of evil

Three seems low for 16, but at the same time there also was an SK so 4 evils and 12 villagers is probably about right. But I guess we will find out after lynching Benjamin

MOD NOTE: Apologies for the slow update. We've tried reaching out to players but not everyone is here so NO SPEED DAY. Lynch will be at 9pm as usual and we'll have an announcement after that, if needed.

Frank has escaped our notice. Not sure that is a good thing.

Unless, and this is a reach- unless Ina (and then by default Laura) have been playing a long game. Anyone could have been munched this morning. Eddie was the most obviously village, so he ostensibly could have been left til last by the woves.

Just on this, if there are more than 3 wolves, throughout all the game, I have dropped a lot of hints as to my character. A LOT.
There has been no counter claims to this character, and I think I've been obvious mcObvious.
I know they are just claims, but I think I have shown myself as village throughout.

And there are 3 ring bearer Hobbits, 2 are dead, so you are claiming to be the same one as Laura. @Benjamin the Alchemist
so one of you is lying and at the moment, the more likely of the two seems you.
If you are not claiming to be a Hobbit, what actually are you claiming?

How about you show us proof Ben, it's you under pressure here. Up to you to prove you are you say you are.

If you're legit and this is all a misunderstanding I'm sure you'll have no issues clearing it up with a logical explanation and timeline.

Ask yourself why two dead hobbits would both put me so low on their Process of Elimination lists. And when I say low I mean just not right at the bottom but the next one up. Pat (Sam) had Magda (Frodo) right at the bottom of his.

Make sense of that for yourself and then the answer is obvious.

"Avoid character reveals", how does this work is a RV is up for lynch? If they can't reveal we could end up lynching them. Am I missing something here? Can they say they have a role?

Thoughts on players
Betty - a lot of fluff and character posts, also spotted something there too

Rhoda - a lot of fluff

Ina - village lean here, not afraid to get stuck in

Benjamin - neutral lean, is posting and seems to be trying figure it out

Pat - I didn't read their post as suggesting there was only one wolf, he jad actually said 'more than one'. Very defensive when called on it or when others said he was suspicious. Later said Vernon didn't want discussion of wolf numbers, that's not true either. Not sure what to make of Pat.

Edward - nothing to go on here

Prada - village lean here

Vernon - must be a newish player as asked what pocketing is. Village lean here.

Frank - fluff

Magda - called out Wendy for the back room reference and Wendy for AI, later said Vernon pocketed Wendy. Village lean here.

Wendy - made a big deal of Pat's post when he clearly said likely more than one wolf. Lot of reaction testing, FFAed Betty, Prada and Magda. #57 said Betty is a provable load but didn't really explain it when asked by Prada, Betty and Vernon, I still don't understand the "making up a narrative" bit. AI no sense. Called Magda a WOLF!!!! Asked Benjamin to explain RVS and pocketing in their own words - don't see the point of this. Wolf lean here.

William - more fluff, spreadsheets, suss of Pat.

Mick - couple of posts today, spotted autopriest only being mentioned for lynch, asked Wendy why she expected flips for flavour kills this morning.

16 players, so agree on 3/4 wolves.

I'll be out for a few hours from around half 4, this list was my honest reads at the time when there was very little to go on. This is what everyone jumped on, but look at the first paragraph.

It was my seventh post, Google my character with the number seven.

Betty the wolf had been lynched at this stage.
Ina was trusted and was just beow me in both lists.

Why would Magda and Pat have such trust in me?

You do you, Ina

Look so far your defence is:

'The dead players who happened to be hobbits had me on their good reads lists' which seems to be implying that you all knew who ye were. And I simply do not believe that 4 hobbits would know each others identities in a 16 player game. It's not feasible and way OP.

The second part of your defence seems to want me to do your work for you in proving that you didn't counterclaim but in fact claimed first. That doesn't bode well for you either way, cos you know who pointed that out, right?

Vincent, the dead wolf. That's who.

Sorry Benji, it's checkmate unless you come up with some sort of plausible explanation that doesn't involve 4 hobbits all knowing each other and relying on a dead wolf's word that you were softing a claim first!

No offence but I’ve done all I can at this stage.

You’ve all somehow got it in your heads that a wolf would deflect a lynch onto another wolf like it’s some kind of winning play.

We are playing the fellowship of the RING! Gee, I wonder what the ring might do in this game?
