Spears already posted that song. It didn't make me want to throw up in my mouth so it's a step in the right direction for Pink.

Now enjoy this instead  Tongue

Awesome new song from Jake "Scissor Sisters" Shears.
He will support Duran Duran in their UK and Ireland dates in May, so I will get a chance to hear this live!!

If you like post-punk, new wave, New Romantics or modern electronic music and various bits between.....Check out ABC to XTC presented by John Connolly on RTE Gold on Saturdays. There are months of his programme on the RTE Player. I have been listening to a number of them. Very eclectic and plenty of extended versions of stuff, not to mention obscure in some cases.

Nice. Always had a massive soft spot for Scissor Sisters (didn't everyone?!) and I really liked his debut album a couple of years ago, hadn't realised there was a new one about to land

Is that the same gig that Goldfrapp are supporting? That's a cracking lineup, if so

@E.N.
actually Goldfrapp was last year when they played St Anne's Park. Alison came on her own (no Will Gregory) but she was still amazing. I read somewhere that she is about to release her first ever solo album, so really looking forward to it.

Duran Duran come back again this year to play 3Arena. They announced Jake Shears and someone called Lia Lia as support acts. I have seen Jake Shears once before in London and it was a great gig, so the announcement that he will support was again a great bonus. It's a Sunday gig, so I plan to go nice and early and get in front of the stage!!

Oh no, that's the sort of mistake old people make 🙈🤣
Glad to hear she was good though, seen them twice and they were amazing both times

I've just discovered Melts, and I wish it had been sooner.
Electro-post-punk, is that a thing? Hints of Joy Division or The Horrors, but wound up more. Relentless beats beneath the surface carry you along like an undercurrent, they're brilliant

Here's Maelstrom on Other Voices...

Interesting piece of music. It reminds me of Joy Division and The Wedding Present.

Great concert by Faun on Saturday at Opium, so I reckon I'll be listening to their music regularly for the next few weeks

Their debut album is incredible, start to finish.
Sadly their stuff since hasn't lived up to those heights, for me. New (third) album is out soon, but the singles off it didn't excite me too much

After living with the album for a while, I'm now really loving Stereo Mind Game by Daughter. It's a real slowburn but it has lovely depth to it. Very reminiscent of Sigur Ros in places, but that's a compliment. Worth a listen if you need to chill

[Image: Daughter-%2520Stereo%2520Mind%2520Games.jpg]

And, if you don't need to chill, then obviously the new Enter Shikari album is awesome!
It's actually quite, well, poppy by their standards. It's pretty immediate and accessible, which I wouldn't expect to like from them but it's really working for me. It's the usual mix of solidarity and facing the realities of the world with optimism. It's simplistic, but it's so earnest I just buy into it. I'd say it'll settle as being my third favourite of their albums, and it's a very high bar

Agreed about Jessie Ware, at first listen it sounds great!!

Obsessed with Alison Goldfrapp at the moment!! Her first ever solo album is out this week and I think it will be a strong nomination for album of the year!!
