I half take back what I said earlier about the original song. I always found it very annoying. But listening to it here, and focusing on the lyrics, it's actually kind of a sweet song ..

Also, just a reminder on how the final will work it is same as last time. I will ask both finalist to nominate 3 songs of their choice, no themes though they still should be live covers.
I know its quite a bit away though to keep us from stopping when we get there you can have a few ideas in place and as we edge closer narrow them down more for yourself.

If you fancy a day break for yourself @Kol , I'd be 100% in favour of taking tomorrow off and back into it on Sunday as I've my nephew's christening tomorrow ; although, I could definitely slip off into a corner somewhere for half an hour and have a listen of the entries, my brother would probably expect me to diasappear for awhile to be fair as he knows I can't manage small talk for an entire day, so don't stop on my account.

For live, you need to be playing to an audience (real life not online) playing into a webcam wouldn't count as a live concert for me .

Live doesn't need to be in front of a live audience imo. Anything recorded in one take with no post editing I would consider live. Obviously for the purpose of the game we have to use online videos and I wanted to keep the live aspect to keep the game like the x factor.
As I said before, I will ditch the live gimmick for the next game and see how it goes.
At the end of the day though, it's just a bit of fun. I know some of you are competitive but I wouldn't get too hung up on the is it live or not point. I think it is more about which song people have picked rather than the actual rendition that will take you further in this competition.

Going to take the day off and continue tomorrow folks.
