Welcome to The Fog Factor Series 2

Contestants will battle it out over the next few weeks to see which of you has the fog factor. Along the way we will all be voting for our favourites, though ultimately, our 3 person judging panel will have the final say on who goes home each week.

Sit back and enjoy the show!

Each round of songs (week) will be themed.
I will post the songs and everyone is eligible to vote (thank) the songs you like. Yes, you can thank multiple songs. Judges, contestants, and viewers can vote
Votes will be counted when the voting closes and the 2 lowest players will FACE THE MUSIC.
Week 1 will be the freestyle theme, no one will leave this week though your votes will count towards ties in later weeks.
From week 2, our 3 judges will vote who they want to send home (each judge will post separately and give a reason if they like.)
When we get to the final 2 players, I will explain how the final will work.

Thread open for discussion, please don't say which songs you nominated.

Live show will start on Monday morning.

Until then, we will listen to some songs which did not make it to the live finals

I wanted to submit SOS as well, but Portishead are lazy buggers and haven't toured for years, so I don't think there's a live version of their cover. I love it though...

I probably won't be doing much "thanks" because of work commitments, but I will read this with *great interest. Smile

I never heard of that band until you submitted this song into a walrus.

I've loved the song ever since. Love the simplicity and eeriness of it.

This is going to be a blood bath but I look forward to others submissions 🤣

I love them so much. But they're lazy buggers, three albums in about 25yrs, and not many more tours Tongue

Their Glastonbury set in 2014(?) is one of the best gigs I've ever been to, it was just incredible. 15,000ish people in a field, and everyone was enraptured, the atmosphere was incredible

I'm not feeling too confident with my Freestyle song Big Grin

I didn't realize it would be scored. I just thought it would interesting to submit.

I'm leaving it in though becuase I like the origibnal song, and I like the artist covering it.

Even though they are a bit marmite and it might not go dpown well with the judges Tongue

Looks like there is some confusion on what happens in the freestyle round which is round 1

We will count the votes as usual, though no one will leave in round 1, the judges can air their opinions but they won't be sending anyone home.

The votes you get in round 1 will only be used to break a tie for face the music in round 2. If there is still a tie then more than 2 songs will face the music.

Same deal for subsequent rounds, the votes you get in the previous round will break a tie, if votes are the same, we go back another untill we get a break. If there is no break then again, more than 2 songs will face the music.

Sounds complicated though it will make more sense if or when it happens.

All the songs I've posted so far are either duplicates or not live in my opinion.

Just @Leg End Reject to get a few changes in, everyone else is ready.

I have screened these the best I could, there might be some controversy on some some choices though we won't be changing anything now. If you don't think a song should be there you have the right to not vote for it.

Kicking of with Freestyle tomorrow, some of you mentioned you freestyle category though most didn't so I will leave this out, you can discuss you choices if you wish on thread.
