I love EPs of covers, they're usually really interesting. Bartees Strange has one of The National songs, it's brilliant. Disturbed - Sound of Silence
Again this falls into the overplayed side of things a bit. I absolutely love the track (equally I love that these two entrants in particular picked this entry
), but I’ve heard so much of late I was even voting for it in Kol’s over-rated song tourney
It’s still deserving of this spot though.

Def Leppard - Only After Dark
Hard to fault anything Def Leppard do tbf. Loved this upbeat number. Only for some of the others above this are equally as strong it prob scores much higher.

Orville Peck – Born This Way
Just love the countrified version of this track. I’m not gone on the original GaGa version, truth be told – I like how this is stripped back just to his voice and couple of instruments. Nice entry.

Ha this is just class, and I didn’t even watch the video until I was compiling the writeups. Excellent cover, excellent entry.

Logan Lynn - The last High
Ehhh…. This was all just a bit too psychedelic and weird for me. Too much going on in terms of instruments I think.

Bonnie Tyler - Making Love Out Of Nothing At All
This is a cracking track. Really enjoyed it from start to finish. Bonnie Tyler is brilliant anyways but funnily enough I had not heard this before but I really just loved it. Great, Great choice

Portishead - SOS
In contrast, I absolutely DETESTED this. Firstly, speak up FFS, it’s not singing if nobody can understand your distorted warbling. It’s a no from me…

An absolutely cracking cover of an absolutely cracking theme. Can’t really get much better than that tbh. Excellent selection!

Had good laugh at me and diamonds picking the same song. no cogging was done. honest.
Just haven't been as exposed to its as you and recall it being an excellent cover.
hurt is another exceptional cover where i prefer the cover to the origional.
I did try to rabbit hole disturbed, but its just this cover that I enjoy, really didn't gel to their other tracks.
i have to agree with you over the sos track, i did try to like it, but it is lacking, i was waiting for the whole song for it to kick into gear, but then it just ended. sorry e.n.

It's the E-Tray. I've done a good few practice modules the last few days and it's not too bad. It's pretty much what I do (minus the delegation) on a daily basis anyways so it's just timing moreso that I wanted to practice.
Good Luck
I'm going to reveal the final two rounds of this tonight if people want to mark it in their diaries...
Something Blue
I’m an open book for this, I’m not sure what blues actually is as a genre. Something depressing…ish? Anyways just the one sample vid this round, perked my interest in the genre and I went down a rabbithole of this fella’s music. No idea if it IS actually bluesy or not but whatever.

That's a folk song bro
give into the folk, stick on some Bob Dylan you know you want to

Hmmm... my pick wears a wide brimmed fedora rather than a cowboy hat, but maybe that's close enough

I've entered this before so didn't submit it, but this is an absolute belter, even has Blues in the title!

Kicking off now in a few mins.
