More or less confirmed now.. Will be fun to see how they get on in the Champions League
35m a year - poor thing, how will he survive? Tongue

I know the blame sits mostly with Barca but I found his crying at leaving, saying he'd have done anything to stay, a bit OTT when the only block was money. I suspect there was a solution involving small numbers!
Technically even if he played for Free (not that I would ever have expected him to do so but) Barca still would not have reduced their wage bill by even nearly enough to be in line with the rules to allow them to then register him or any of their other new players. It is a complete mess there and getting worse by the day as it seems Aguero who they are still also unable to register is now injured again and will be out for a few months.

Weirdly Messi's new wage at PSG is actually going to be similar to what Barca are paying Griezmann (although no doubt Messi will be making extra bank with image rights etc) which imo was one of the craziest decisions the club ever made. Spending 120m euro on a player who plays in the exact same position as Messi, then give him that crazy wage!

It is a great life though for Messi, in tears over the fact that he gets to spend a year or two in Paris (while obviously earning so much) winning a new set of trophies and never having to be seen as the guy who chose to leave his club while having a better chance of winning the champions league again than he had at Barca, then probably head off to the MLS to retire after that and keep raking it in.
PSG just had the best transfer window ever, ridiculous team. Sad that Man City and PSG have the best squads, FFP is a joke
Yeah it's like PSG looked at the Madrid Galacticos and said:

pac
FFP was dead in the water as soon as City challenged them
If anyone wants to join of fantasy football league the code is 2niny1
@Strawberry Milkshake, didn't you say you used to go to watch Dulwich Hamlet? One of the Brentford boys, Ethan Pinnock, is playing in the prem tonight, having played for Hamlet six years ago! Smile
Arsenal should be more than 1-0 down here. Brentford are really having a go at them, plus they're looking very shaky at the back.
Defense looks like it was put together from the aul lads in the phoenix park..

Really doesn't look good at all.. Brentford definitely should have had another, hope they don't run those chances now
That is just terrible defending

Var maybe
Total shambles at the back, that was just embarrassing.
Could be a long long season for Arteta or to put it another way, dude is gonna be constantly suggested for having his time there drastically shortened unless something changes.

Even though I kinda like Brentford and people will definitely be suggesting that teams are going to struggle against them far more now than later in the season but That’s my after 1 game impression of Le Arse.

Thanks, I think I need a support group after that I suppose it's marginally better than last season when we conceded 6, but that really was depressing to watch.

Indeed, unless you're playing Liverpool.

Looks like someone's angling for a new nemesis...
I put two Arsenal players into my FF team, what the hell was I smoking when I decided that ?

Yeah, Ben White is going to be transferred out of my team pretty sharpish. That defence is shockingly bad.

It will improve a bit when Gabriel returns but Mari and Chambers are not good enough

Do ye think Lukaku will start against Arsenal ? will he run riot I wonder.
He'll definitely start I reckon. It's hard to know with Arsenal, they were very poor against Brentford but tend to show up at least a little more in the bigger games, plus they're at home. I think Chelsea will probably win but not by a huge margin.
That Arsenal defence looked so poor against Brentford that if Lukaku hits the ground running he could easily have a hat trick. But it's hard to imagine them being that bad two games running.
Real make a bit for Mbappe and we all thought they were broke.

Ronaldo heading back to Manchester, city that is?
Tough draws for City and Liverpool in the CL

If Ronaldo goes to City I will throw up
I don't understand why City would be interested in Ronaldo at this stage. He's 36, although he far fitter than probably every other 36 year old on the planet, and he's not really the sort of player who's going to chase everything down like Pep wants them to. If he's not going to do that, how is he going to fit into the team? It nearly suggests to me that they feel they have to sign someone like him after missing out on Kane, regardless of whether or not they'll be a good fit for the team.
Group A: Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Leipzig, Club Brugge
Group B: Atlético Madrid, Liverpool, Porto, AC Milan
Group C: Sporting CP, Borussia Dortmund, Ajax, Beşiktaş
Group D: Inter, Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk, Sheriff Tiraspol
Group E: Bayern, Barcelona, Benfica, Dynamo Kyiv
Group F: Villarreal, Manchester United, Atalanta, Young Boys
Group G: LOSC Lille, Sevilla, Salzburg, Wolfsburg
Group H: Chelsea, Juventus, Zenit , Malmö

He is a goal machine, kind of player that could win you a CL which is what City need.

He also comes with a lot of baggage and massive wages, type of player that will upset the dressing room.

I don't think they will go for him but they really need a striker, they may hold out for Mbappe next year if he is still available.

It's official Ronaldo back at MU

Amazing. Now how much will he cost in FPL? Big Grin
They recruited well no boubt, but they are still lacking in one area, the manager.

Four equally matched squads, going to be a good season.
