I think I need a lie-down after that match
Squeaky bum time all around, close at the top, for top 4 and relegation
So frustrating being a Liverpool fan this season. City and Arsenal are clearly the best two teams in the league, and this week we've had the measure of both of them for a half and been putrid in the other half, it's infuriating

That said, our results against the top teams isn't our issue. We'll probably follow up that second half performance by losing to Leeds
Liverpool is a completely different team in Anfield and a completely different team away.
But this was a fantastic game of football today!! It could have gone either way, but I'm happy with the point. Still probably leaves us needing a result at Etihad, but that's life 🙂
It's hard not to be disappointed having led 2-0 but if you had asked me before the match I'd have snapped your hand off for a point at Anfield.

It's going to take almost perfection to beat City to the league, but as Liverpool fans know well that was always going to be the case. Given their resources and the depth of squad they have any team running them close is a fantastic achievement. Anyways 8 games to go. 8 cup finals. Not sure I can handle the stress 😂
United missing our two best centre backs for the rest of the season. Crazy schedule took its toll. Rashford out as well, it's going to be tough. Not going to enjoy watching Slabhead start every week

He's suspended for the FA Cup semi final too😅

Time to dust off Phil Jones!

It's only been six days and he's already had a shocker, this is going to be an insufferable end to the season.
De Geas been poor a few times this season but he was absolutely brutal tonight.

Has that ever happened before? Levy needs to sack himself at this stage

I don't think it has, I can't think of one anyway.. Yep it's a club mentality issue, Kane should've left years ago when he had the chance

Does the Chelsea one count, they had that Bruno fella for one game  Big Grin
As bad as Spurs have been this season they are still ahead of us which goes to show how bad we've been. Im confident we will finish above them though
Speaking of Spurs-ish, looking like Pochettino to Chelsea... I smell a Kane/Poch reunion in the summer... which will be bad news for United fans hoping to sign him.
Toney banned for 8 months, guess I'll have to transfer from my ff team!

Now, if only there was some rule for clubs breaching financial fair play

Haha why would Kane go to Chelsea of all places
Man City make the final after defeating Real Madrid

...and, as much as I hate to say it, I reckon Chelsea will be back competing in a season or two. They'll finish above Spurs next season

Amazing what little old City can achieve, while only "breaking financial fair play rules around 100 times over a nine-year period" according to the Premier League and lawyering their way of of a two year UEFA ban on a technicality after "overstating its sponsorship revenue in its accounts", such a plucky underdog tale!
Can't see Inter stopping them in the final so I guess the only hope is United pulling something amazing out of the bag in the FA Cup

It's a ridiculous squad City have, fatigue isn't even a thing cause they can rotate & bring in a guy just as good each week
Haaland has been phenomenonal for MC

His goal scoring is phenomenal though I wasn't say he is necessarily an all round  phenomenal player. He sits in the opposition's box for 90 mins and when you're playing in a team like City's you're going to get chances. He does what it says on the tin I guess.

Unfortunately not every team could afford the carry a luxury player like that. He doesn't press, he doesn't defend, he just scores goals. Whether he make them a better team, who knows.

If he goes on to score the winner in the CL final, he will go down as the missing piece to the puzzle I guess

In the latest story of the plucky underdog City, they're now launching legal challenges... but not against the 115 charges oh no.... they're going after the chair of the independent commission because he's an Arsenal fan.

Rightly so, it's all a conspiracy 🤣

And it's going to be like this for many years I reckon.
I thought Arsenal would take it but not to be, can MC now make it a treble

I really hope not, but it seems inevitable
In happier news, this is pretty cool, I'm too scared to take my daughter to Tallaght 🤣

The Ireland Women's National Team will play at the Aviva Stadium for the first time on Saturday, September 23.

Following talks between the Football Association of Ireland, the Irish Football Association and UEFA, the opening game of the 2023-24 UEFA Women's Nations League against Northern Ireland will kick off at 13:00.

MU did nothing amazing so MC on course for a treble
I have said years ago before the City days that Guardiola and his teams are a curse and destroy football watching enjoyment, saying that as a neutral.

Yes, that Barcelona team and the current City have fantastic players but I don't see any point in watching them having 75% possession every match and destroying every opponent. If i want to see the magic moments of Messi or whoever, I can watch a 3 minute highlights video.

I won't even bother with the Champions League final, unless we go out and watch it with my best friends.
Treble Winners Manchester City, Haaland has to be a strong contender for player of the year, season, Ballon D'Or etc.,
Who cares Liz, when the charges are finally brought down on these sportwashing cheats then I'll take interest.

Could it unite the Gallaghers, get an Oasis reunion    Big Grin

City are the most valuable football club now 15 years since Sheikh Mansour took over. They have seen their brand value soar 15 percent this year to £1.29billion and that has seen them overtake Real Madrid, whose brand value dropped three per cent to £1.26bn, as per an analysis by Brand Finance

Haaland win the Ballon D'Or😂😂

I guess Harry Kane will be in second place for scoring 30 goals with a dogshit Spurs team so!

De Bruyne is the guy who should be getting all of the (undeserved) plaudits. He makes them tick

100%

...but goalscorers are always disproportionately valued. De Bruyne had easily been the best player in the prem.
