Having a rather spicy (sniffle) turkey papriksh (I didn't make it) with veg and (very few) bits of potato. Not bad, not bad at all. Happy out.

I am with Buile, not a huge biscuit fan.... I am more of a savoury than sweet food craver.
...and now I'm hungry again, saaaaake!  Rolleyes

think I'll bake some bread.  pac
Not a recipe, but if anyone likes chunky soups ,Dunne Stores Simply Better range have a lovely Mixed Bean and Chorizo one , a bit of fresh crusty bread with it ,perfect!

Oh yes I like that one too!

While we're on dunnes, they do very nice own brand yoghurt too, they're in the large tubs and are only a euro each.. the mango one is my favourite!

Oh I love mangoes,  I must try that one,  thank you!
Another mango fan here! I get the clear tub of chopped mango in pineapple juice, it's great, keeps as well as a tin but without the sliminess of tinned. Pricey but worth it imo, fresh mango can be so hit and miss
It's Monday-Tuesday for me, it feels like at least Thursday, I am supposed to be eating healthy, instead it has become pizza (pepperoni, the tesco ownbrand stonebaked frozen one), crisps (hunkydorys) and wine (a tasty Rioja my aunt gave me the other week 😍) day 🤣

Wine has gone straight to my head despite pizza and crisps. I had this lovely pasta salad with sundried tomatoes and feta bought for lunch... but I was on my phone while paying (self service checkout), answering the call to be a career advise sounding board, and I left my fecking food behind after I paid for it (and bothered to get a receipt) so this is my first meal off the day... sigh...
Working weekend here, stopped for  luscious peas with pearl onions, nom nom nom...

That like is for the mad swans not for the pearl onions 😉
A cookie and a cupan tae and no I won't be sharing my cookie Wink
I'd love cookies right now. But I'm down to emergency chocolate.

Gonna make this tonight.. Black bean chicken

Chop 2 chicken breasts & coat in a mixture of breadcrumbs, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp chilli powder & salt.. Put into oven for 20 mins or airfryer for 15 at 220 degrees

While that is cooking, using a wok fry up 1 or 2 peppers, an onion & a chilli for a few mins.. Next add in 2 crushed garlic cloves, a small piece of ginger, 2 tbsps of soy sauce & 1 tsb oyster sauce.. Leave that for 5 mins then add in 300 mls chicken stock & 1-2 tbsps of black bean sauce (you can get really good ones in Asian shops & aren't too expensive).. Leave to simmer & reduce. If you need to thicken the sauce mix 1 tbsp of cornflower with 20 mls water & add that in gradually

Tis yummy if you like that type of food  Smile
@lorcand1990 , that sounds delicious, enjoy , and thanks for the recipe!
I didn't know there was a chocolate day, I had lots of chocolate ob the 7th but it was just a coincidence. Shy
Every day is Chocolate Day to me Big Grin
I had crispy pork belly with crackling and tomato salsa salad
Mmm that sounds good liz! I'm having sausages on hot dog buns with brown sauce.
Love pork belly

Homemade beef burger for me tonight.. I went big and had it with lettuce, pickle, cheese, onion and an egg
The soup maker has returned from it's summer hiatus.. Butternut squash with chili pepper
Just did steak on the barbecue for the first time (I've only owned a bbq for a week Tongue)

It was pretty epic Big Grin
How much use have you gotten out of that bbq so far, E.N.?
If ever I get one, I am expecting your expert advice Smile (I don't know how to cook meats at all)

Past few days I have been limited to a diet of ...whatever my good hand can spread on bread easily.
....but today I ran out of bread - eek.

So I popped a frozen loaf of bread dough in oven (I am not sure how I will cut it, but oh the yummy smell), and while i was cooking that, I didn't want to waste the heat so's I put a baked potato in with a frozen chicken breast (with bbq sauce on top) - and walla, good food will hit my tummy soon! ...I may look like a caveman eating it, but nomnomnom cant wait!
I mixed my xmas pudding today! Hoping it comes out ok after reducing the alcohol content

For the first few weeks I was using it loads, and it's definitely the best way I have to cook steak. I ran out of gas just as winter set in though, so it's been lonely for the last month or so. It'll be back in the spring with a vengeance! I'd never really understood the BBQ obsession before, but it is very good Smile

We all have Christmas Dinner at sons house, around 15-16 of us , small kitchen, two big bbqs worth their weight in gold keeping food hot last year 🙈😂
Not in the mood for dinner but I'm just after savaging half a McFlurry from the freezer.

I'm not even much of an icecrem fan (hence only eating half in the first place).
There must have been feck all topping out on it too because it was mostly just icrecream.
So I crushed 2 Oreo's and mixed them in & OMGoooood, it was delicious 😋
McFlurrys used to have a specific machine for mixing them up, but they don't seem to now. That means they really are just toppings, it's a bit crap

you're a mam of 15? ....that's alot of mammying to do!

ok, I may have read that wrong, but ..... please pardon my non-cooking self, how does a bbq keep food warm?

Yeah the topping was just on top. I probably wouldn't have finished it all initially even if it was mixed through,  but I did stop eating when it got to the icecream only part.

But the Oreo's I added in were double stuffed so they were really creamy mixed in 👅

Think I'll grab another tomorrow, eat half again & freeze the rest for another day 🐷

Same.
I'm not a huge icecream fan & I rarely ever crave it, but Cookies & cream is one that would make me want to buy some.

Got an Aldi brand Butterscotch & Almond icrecream for over the Christmas.
The Butterscotch flavour was lovely but the almonds were slivers, & they tasted of what I'd imagine toenails clippings to be like.
Weird texture 🤢
Oh good gawd, toenail clipping texture would put me off ice cream forever!

A decade ago, McDonalds came out with some sort of chocolate chip/dust mix-in for iced coffee. I tried iti once (in my then homeless state) and jayzoooos, the texture was like drinking thinned down milk with thick (gag) coffee grounds added in (and dark specks sticking to the ice cubes), what an epic McFail!

They're gas bbqs with the kids that come down over the grill , so the pots and pans were put on them to keep warm until we dished up . (If that makes sense)

I don't have a BBQ either 😀 So the odd time we have one at my house, they bring it with them and the gazebo, and we make a day of it ! Everyone brings food etc .
