I think it's just years of being told how great Stairway and Bohemian Rhapsody are, but I really dislike both.
And let's be honest, if Rolf Harris and a wobble board can improve your song then it really wasn't that great in the first place.

Same again. They are, after all, my two remaining nominations! They are truly memorable songs.

Bohemian Rhapsody is a classic too, even if I omitted to include it in my list of nominations, and I would not be too disappointed if that beat Nirvana. In my opinion, Metallica's Nothing Else Matters has done extraordinarily well to get to the QFs, never mind the SFs, and I think it is about to leave the stage. I could think of plenty of songs already knocked out that would have been a more worthy QF and SF entrant than that song. Don't get me wrong: it's quite a good song, but even Enter Sandman would have been a better song to have reached the semi-final.

I do agree that it's not Metallica's best, but equally it's not up against Led Zeppelin's best. By some distance. Can't believe the way Kashmir got treated, it's the filthiest rock riff of all time

 Eh - maybe not.   If it does get through, it's due to the lack of people voting. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

 That was already happening before that song! I can't believe that Nothing Else Matters knocked out a couple of Led Zep songs and the wonderful London Calling by The Clash during the tournament! 

FoGs greatest rock song is, Nirvana - Smells like teen spirit.
