We spent over €100 per ticket to go see David Byrne's American Utopia in The Point. Absolutely stupid money, but they way we looked at it was that he may never bring the show here again and therefore it was worth paying for the best seats we could get, which relatively speaking weren't actually that much more expensive than the cheaper seats. It was worth every penny. I'd be of the same opinion for any other show - if it's something you really want to see and it's unlikely you'll get that chance again, then go for it and splash out for the best seats you can afford. It's not as if it's something you do every week, and you'll only regret not going to it afterwards.
