Yea I get the rationale on giving new players a bit of time to get into the game. I guess it's the unwritten rule that we should trust everyone to be honest when claiming to be a newbie.

Player names are given at the end of the game so would be a bad look for them

Hi all, thread seems fairly civilised so far.

Not a newbie but haven't played in over a year I'd say so looking forward to the paranoia!!!

Welcome everyone to your first breakfast of The Traitors. Hope you’re enjoying the spread, I see the croissants are gone already… Savages. 

As you can see, the Traitors did not strike last night, so you are all here. Congratulations. Soon, you’ll all be faced with a daily challenge where you can win a fabulous prize, or prizes. Hopefully I post the task correctly, a bit like the eggs, my head is scrambled this morning.

Unfortunately, that’s the end of the good news. I regret to inform you that the Traitors were active yesterday in the shadows. The following 5 players have been placed on trial for murder by The Traitors. These 5 players will be watched closely today & one will be chosen to be murdered tonight.

Well feck it anyway. The big question is - would the traitors put themselves in the 4 players who will still be around after the murder. Do they hope we think like that and waste time on them? Should we call their bluff and put themselves 4 to one side for a while and hunt outside of the list? Traitors wouldn’t be crazy enough to put all of them on the lust, would they?

There's also a chance, albeit risky that the Traitors would put on of themselves in the 5 to make themselves seem less traitory.

I would say so at this point, there's 20 other players to sift through in the meantime. Engagement has been decent, only 7 non posters so far.

True. I’m also toying with the idea of getting rid of us all early so there’s no doubts about it. 

Unless this is the format for murders each day. 
Unless there is hard evidence against another player.

Most recent winner in the UK was on the list and I think another season too. It shouldnt be completely disregarded although id park it for now regardless

Two possible points of interest from the mod post:

Are the Traitors likely to be that conniving (sp?) straight away? 😵 I have a lot to learn.

Same thoughts as everyone, are the 5 all faithful or is it a bluff hiding one of their own in plain sight... or is it a double bluff. Things get interesting when you consider the triple bluff.

A shield protects you from murder and is usually won through a task during the day. They don't always reveal who won them, but sometimes it's public knowledge.

The shield is only in place for that night alone.

The traitors (werewolves) in my experience would be conniving from the moment they received their PM from Lorcan and even before they knew who their fellow traitors would be.

Picking a non poster is interesting and I will be certainly keeping an eye to when and what Kevin posts.

I find there is usually a traitor in a high poster, as a tactic to try and gain some credit, seem helpful and guide faithful to their way of thinking.

I wouldn’t be quick to clear the people on the list as if this is the way the murder will be played each night then it narrows down the list of possible Traitors which would be very powerful for the Faithful. I wouldn’t banish any of us tonight though.

I'd say there's likely a traitor in the 5 of us listed. @McDonald the Farmer post about Lilly the Millenial is sticking out to me as a possible task.

We're more than likely going to banish a faithful at this stage of the game so if we banish one of the 5 and another is murdered that only leaves 3 unknowns.
