(16-10-2025, 04:47 PM)Frank the Tank Wrote: The Fellowship wins by eliminating all the Wolves and successfully chaperoning the One Ring to the fires of Mount Doom, cleansing Middle-earth of its greatest evil.
This sacred duty falls uniquely to the Hobbits among you, a burden few can comprehend.
Should the line of Ring-bearers be extinguished, the quest to destroy the One Ring fails, and with it, all hope for Middle-earth.
Yet, the Ring itself is a persistent and powerful force; even if its current bearer falls, its fate may not be sealed, and its dark influence may still be resisted.
The Wolves win when their numbers equal or exceed the number of Villagers, successfully corrupting or overwhelming the Free Peoples of Middle Earth.
The Serial Killer wins by gaining parity with the village & wolf teams, claiming the ultimate prize for themselves amidst the fiery ruins.

It isn't very clear what happens, did anything like this happen in the lore?

The wolves win conditions mention reaching the same number as villagers so reads like they still need to get to parity. The weird line in their conditions is the use of the word exceeds - wolves would never usually exceed villagers as the game usually ends when they equal the village number

Gollum/Smeagol based on his post seemed to alternate between village and SK alignment each night so I would expect that was what that referred to

Note that the village win cons do not say we have to kill the SK.
He could have won alongside us.

Maybe it depended on what character he was playing that day- Gollum or Smeagal. Moot point anyway as SK is dead.

Ugh I can't believe I missed that till now 😔

Gollum/Smeagol could have been our vig in theory. He did have seperate win cons as Gollum but also could win as a villager I think.

I'd imagine so yeah, but it wouldn't have mattered. Our win cons don't mention we have to kill the SK. Anyways it's a moot point now as the wolves killed him

If we lynch a wolf tonight, do folk think there is 1 or 2 left?
There is no way to be sure though I would appreciate if we can come to a consensus who I should pick tonight.

I think there are 2 left.
Some people seemed to think there could be 4 initially, but this was discounted due to the SK. However, given the theory about the SK could be village aligned, does that make it more likely to have been 4 wolves from the start?

there is def not just one left. That would be a very low wolf count.
I am still on Laura.

Fair point. So we should assume there are currently 3 then

I think if it goes down to 1 left there is a very good chance I will be munched

My boss is on leave today so it’s easier to have the phone in my hand more often as this site is blocked in work.

We have a decent village core in yourself, Ina, Rhoda and Edward leaving Will, Laura, Ben and Vincent as the unknowns (obviously I know I am village). That would be my order of most to least wolfie.

I am getting in the car now to drive home, will be on later. Haven’t voted yet, was planning to stick with Will but reckon I’d be alone so happy to go Laura

I think we should lynch Laura. The last remaining person on the 2nd wagon from day1. They were the wagon yesterday. I think they are more likely to be a wolf than anybody else even though they posted well yesterday.

I think if Laura isnt a wolf, then a William Mick team seems very likely. I'm not sure who I'd pair Laura with yet.

Sseems to be have been randed so could have role hunted too, they killed Prada afterall. Even if Smeagol Wendy might have thought a villager was a wolf.

Is everyone basing me being a wolf on my D1 vote on Rhoda? Remember everyone was hell bent on Magda being a wolf based on the late switch to tie the wagon with Betty.

I was second on Rhoda just after 8, Betty was getting heat so why didn't I hold off and see how the vote was going?

We're at what

6 or 7 villagers - 2 or 3 wolves.

if we miss today and they kill tonight its 4 villagers vs 3 wolves.

I'm struggling to see a partner/partners for Laura in this at the moment ? Is there anybody not sussing her ?

Do you think I should have sat back and be lynched? I didn't know Vernon's alignment at that point. This is weak reasoning.

I dont think just the day1 vote. Although the thing is, the other two voters are confirmed villagers, aren't they ? Someone on that wagon has to have been a wolf. That only leaves you.

plus, for wagonomics on yesterdays votes, you just gotta go.

I'm trying to think if Laura is a wolf, then there must be a deeper wolf or two in the mix because I think Will gets some village cred for his vote yesterday (as do i)

So if Vernon had been a wolf, you would be in the clear. That's like saying that if my grandmother had wheels she would be a bicycle.

A few of us think the wolves are in the list of Laura, Mick, William, Vincent, and Benjamin, we obviously as villagers can't be sure of this but that is the consensus atm

The thing I can't shake right now is Laura's defense is very wolf like. If I was in her shoes and as a villager I would probably just say ok, resolve me and move on to the others, I will take one for the village (different players play it differently of course and we do encourage villagers to fight for themselves in these cases)
I still think she is all over the place defending herself and it just doesn't look like a village player to me. If nothing else materializes before lynch I can't see who I would move on to

Meant to add "worst case scenario" when saying 4 villagers vs 3 wolves.

Looking at the vote history, Benji's voting does stand out. You would often see wolves in games afraid to vote on wagons and just sticking themselves on Ina and then Mick the last two days is a good way of anti-spewing themselves. Even if he flies solo on Mick again tonight and then Mick reveals as wolf tomorrow, I dont think that clears him because it could have been an elaborate plan devised by them to create separation from the outset. Everybody else has voted on wagon at least one other day.

Even outside of the claim, I think its unlikely that Ina votes Betty there. They have killed 2 villagers since also with early votes but I think those are victims of circumstance there rather than leading wagons to lynch villagers. If Laura is a villager, then we are looking to the day1 single voters to find wolves. That would be premier distancing

We have to lynch into that pool of 5 tonight.

Is there ANYTHING people can do to narrow that list of 5 down a little. Anything at all.

I have to run some errands but I’ll be back as soon as I can.

Could everybody please post why they shouldn’t be lynched tonight. I will do the same.

Frank is teetering in the middle too. Only have his check on Ina which isn’t really alignment indicative. No offence, Frank, just can’t have anyone going under the radar at this important stage.

If nothing else materializes before lynch I can't see who I would move on to
Pat was obsessed with me too, if he liked it he should have put a ring on it.

Okay Beyonce. I'd liken you more to Mary Pippins.

Flying in here with your umbrella now and again to drop stuff on us then flying off again for hours
