I think if you find all the villagers, then the people who are left over must be the wolves. So it's not a bad way of doing it

If it's a latent ability then well yeah it becomes more complicated.

It's right there in the OP..

Quote:Game Rules

The game follows the standard FoG Werewolf format, but with abilities and mechanics unique to our theme. The game will be played in anonymous accounts on ForumOfGames.com.

Yeah roles still have powers/abilities. Just claim them, not the character name. I don't understand why this is complicated 😂

In terms of shoot peak protect

Shoot: Wendy - just something off about their style, feel it could be argued as reaction testing but could just be a noisy wolf trying to line up convenient lynchs.

Peek: Ina - I think they're playing well enough so worth checking their alignment. Other option would be Magda, also a high poster could be worth a look.

Protect - this I can't call, I don't trust anyone quite enough for that regardless. Maybe Ben? I don't know if the heat they've received is based on little more than poking and prodding over wolf numbers. Either way feels unproductive.

I'm currently planning on voting Wendy tonight.

That last paragraph was meant to be protect Pat, not Ben confused myself while writing 🫠 no shade at Ben just think Pat is being targeted for little else really.

If people start character claiming then the pool gets narrowed down for our hobbits. Village need at least one hobbit to survive or we lose from the win cons.

So character claiming is anti village in this game, that's just the way it is. I didn't make the rules!

A Decree from the Architects: On Engagement and Absence

Hear ye, players of Arda's Echoes!

A critical matter demands your immediate attention. The lifeblood of our shared world requires constant flow, woven through your active participation. The minimum standard of five posts per day is now strictly enforced.

This is not a suggestion, but a fundamental requirement for all who walk these lands.

Efforts for non-compliance are grave and immediate:
  • Failure to meet the five-post minimum will result in your thread being severed from the tapestry.
  • Your character will be summarily removed from the active narrative, their presence fading as if they had never been.

Let your actions speak. Let your voices resonate. Ensure your commitment matches the demands of this world.

The Architects have spoken.
My old sig was a forum games ad. What do I do now?

Peek: ina or magda. Maybe ina at a push

Shoot: would be a tough choice between Betty, Laura and Rhona. Maybe Rhona right now. Betty has at least come back with something there

Protect: myself, duh

I get that, and its something I try to do myself. I just tend to focus more on who I think is bad when actually posting those type of lists

Speaking of, let's have a game of peek, shoot, protect.
Who would everyone's choice be at this stage?

For me:
Peek: Pat the Baker to finally put an end to the endless questioning of their opening post.
Shoot: Laura, their reads list is dodgy af.
Protect: Vincent, he has already lost one ear. Don't want anymore body parts flying around this early. I want to hear more from them.
Well I appreciate the protect but I don't have a whole lot to say right now. After joining late I'm still trying to find my feet. I feel like this recent spat with Pat and the other poster feels like v/v violence.

"Avoid character reveals", how does this work is a RV is up for lynch? If they can't reveal we could end up lynching them. Am I missing something here? Can they say they have a role?

Thoughts on players
Betty - a lot of fluff and character posts, also spotted something there too

Rhoda - a lot of fluff

Ina - village lean here, not afraid to get stuck in

Benjamin - neutral lean, is posting and seems to be trying figure it out

Pat - I didn't read their post as suggesting there was only one wolf, he jad actually said 'more than one'. Very defensive when called on it or when others said he was suspicious. Later said Vernon didn't want discussion of wolf numbers, that's not true either. Not sure what to make of Pat.

Edward - nothing to go on here

Prada - village lean here

Vernon - must be a newish player as asked what pocketing is. Village lean here.

Frank - fluff

Magda - called out Wendy for the back room reference and Wendy for AI, later said Vernon pocketed Wendy. Village lean here.

Wendy - made a big deal of Pat's post when he clearly said likely more than one wolf. Lot of reaction testing, FFAed Betty, Prada and Magda. #57 said Betty is a provable load but didn't really explain it when asked by Prada, Betty and Vernon, I still don't understand the "making up a narrative" bit. AI no sense. Called Magda a WOLF!!!! Asked Benjamin to explain RVS and pocketing in their own words - don't see the point of this. Wolf lean here.

William - more fluff, spreadsheets, suss of Pat.

Mick - couple of posts today, spotted autopriest only being mentioned for lynch, asked Wendy why she expected flips for flavour kills this morning.

16 players, so agree on 3/4 wolves.

On the bolded part Laura, you can simply say, I'm RV don't lynch me OR claim your role. Just don't say what character you are.

I would say only disclose your role if you really need to as god knows what the mods have in play so we don’t want to give the wolf / sk anything more to go on

Those are the drawbacks yes. But we have been told not to character claim so that's what needs to happen in this game.

Oh yeah absolutely. It's only in the case of a reveal or potential lynching. It's not even worth really discussing too much TBH, it's a case of dealing with it if/when it happens

Shoot: William - going on feeling on this one, his posts just don’t ring true to me

Protect: Ina - most village read so far, trying to get stuck in and her knowledge of the lore will be useful

I think I'm just getting into my own head here, in my thoughts there isn't an actual "seer" or "vig" so to speak rather they would be mad roles proper to the theme which I assumed that's what others would have been thinking also. I get what ye are saying. It's just why I was pushing back a bit there because in my mind the roles are not typical so to speak and wouldn't be able to be countered.

The benefit of them potentially not being regular roles is that the wolves will be worried about fake claiming too

TBQH it sounds like wolf clearing wolf. Is Benjamin posting in your backroom perchance?
Why would a wolf clear another on day 1? I don't follow your logic. I'm not a wolf, I can't see anything to suggest Benjamin is a wolf, can you?

I never said Benjamin is a wolf, I said you clearing them was wolfy and if you flip wolf, then likely Ben is too.

That's the thing. Why would you clear Benjamin as village based on 4 posts? It doesn't make sense.

The seer with one ear, sounds legit

I never said Benjamin is a wolf, I said you clearing them was wolfy and if you flip wolf, then likely Ben is too.

That's the thing. Why would you clear Benjamin as village based on 4 posts? It doesn't make sense.
I said I was neutral on Benjamin, that isn't clearing him. Why are you saying I did?

4 village leans, that's hardly excessive.
Its a decent amount this early on

One of them was purely based cause the player asked what pocketing is. Is that all it takes to get a village lean?

I wouldn't be voting Pat, he seems to be getting a hard time for no particular reason. Was it the one wolf comments from yesterday?
It will be a complete stab in the dark tonight for me
