MSPaint Me Like One of Your French Ladies

The exhibition has been curated, thanks to our fabulous describers and artists. My minions are setting up the gallery as we speak, hanging the masterpieces, their descriptions and prices. 

The exhibition opens at 8pm tomorrow night, for an exclusive FoGgie preview. Caterers will supply Chinese and ice creams. 

For now, the masterpiece which inspired this exhibition 



The fabulous Impressionist painting The Three Graces by Marie Bracquemond in 1880, oil on canvas, 139x89cm on loan to us from Musee d'Orsay in Paris.

Bracquemond was one of the great Impressionists. She was a contemporary of Gauguin who showed her some tricks of the trade. Unfortunately she was married to a jerk who was jealous of her talent and ultimately led to her giving up on painting. Douchebag.

Our first artiste tonight is the Whovian @aaronjennings who has visions of gaye Paris in mind



He explains

When I read that description, it sounded to me like it was describing something artsy, like a postcard you might pick up on the streets of Paris. So that is the sort of style I tried to emulate in my picture

Our second artiste of the night, the ever modest @DejaBoo is apologetic (though I cannot fathom why) as she produces this wonderful interpretation



Surprisingly, and maybe for the only time in MSPaint history, we actually get closer to our inspirational image!

That's an amazing picture Deja... it's like mine, but actually good

I couldn't believe it last night, when I saw the starting picture and realised how accurate my PM actually was

Here's my description:

3 ladies with parasols in forest. Dresses: white, red, mustard

It hardly does Deja's picture justice but was tricky enough..

He aptly describes all of the main elements.
