So unlike the show this won't take place in a supermarket... well not exactly anyways.

In trying to keep it as true to the game as possible what I will be doing is posting a list of various items you would get in a supermarket. What you need to do is PM me a list of what you think the average price would be in Ireland.

If you get within 5 cents of the correct answer you score 5 points.

Within 10 cents and you earn yourself 2 points.

The top three players in the quiz portion will then go forward during the reveal to take part in a LIVE Trolley Dash (Details of which I will explain nearer the time) where they will be able to add to their total to determine the first ever winner of Necro's Supermarket Sweep.

Google etc will not be permitted for obvious reasons.

Below is a list of items you might find in a typical supermarket. What I need from all entrants is a list of what you think the average price for each item costs in Ireland. 

Some will probably be quite easy, others may be very tricky... but you know what they say...

1 litre of full fat milk
12 regular sized eggs
1 kg of white rice
1 loaf (circa 800g) of sliced white bread
1kg of apples
1kg of White Granulated Sugar
An 80 pack of Irish teabags
500g of Spaghetti
70cl of Whiskey
1kg of Grapes
2kg of Self-Raising White Flour
1 litre of Orange Juice
1lb of Butter
1kg of Sirloin Steak
2.5kg of Potatoes
1kg of Irish Cheddar Cheese
400g tin of Tomatoes
A jar of marmalade
1kg of Lamb's Liver
1kg of Smoked Salmon

The question there is is it supermarket own brand or a named brand. Big difference in prices

It is trickier than you think. Really you need to think of the price of the cheapest own brands and the most deluxe branded items and then try and meet somewhere in the middle.

Aye, you will usually see it on the price tag on the shelf.
The price of the goods and then under that the price per kilo.

Ah this makes more sense I was thinking about pricing smaller packages to make up a kg rather than looking at a price per kg, I'm clearly a bit slow

Ah I would have been an expert on this back in the day when I worked on the supermarket checkout, although that was Superquinn so probably would be too high in all my guesses!
