I may have been slightly harsh with my excellent comment. But really. These questions are just so difficult!!
Reading is fundamental

I also absolutely detest it, but I reduced my estimate because I though the word 'best' might force a few Nos from people who like it, unfortunately I went a bit too low.
Was it really over two years...   Whoops sorry... Life just got in the way 🙈😅

I really like the song, but there are others that I prefer, for example Springsteen's version of Santa Claus is Coming to Town.  But of the two you'd have to say Fairytale is definitely the better song.

Right, a nice easy question for you, as requested! Present opening might be the most exciting time of Christmas day, but do you dive straight in, or bide your time?

#Advent Question 17:
Do you open Christmas presents before breakfast on Christmas Day*?
What percentage of players do you think will say yes?

*I know some of our continental friends may open them on Christmas Eve, I think that's a yes!

PMs to me before this evening, reveal about 9

Guys, I'll not be able to close out my rapid slide to the bottom of the league table unfortunately. Thanks for having me though, if you're doing it again next year remember to pop into the Christmas forum on boards and give us a heads up, might get 1 or 2 more next year too.

Have a great Christmas everyone!
Cheers,

DvB

There were some strong feelings expressed today! Who knew this is the question people would start a war over Tongue

However, it was a clear majority as 73.3% (22/30) said yes, presents before breakfast...

I would definitely be in the breakfast first camp - a man's gotta eat!

But also, I have real anxiety about presents. I'm not great at buying them, I don't think, so I'm always nervous about people opening mine. More importantly though, I don't really like receiving presents! I'm one of those people that wants very little and I buy whatever I want, so I'm a nightmare to buy for, meaning I'm often not too pushed about what I get and feel I have to fake happy responses, which I'm crap at!

Of course, that's only true for adult presents, I do love seeing the kids open their presents straight away in the morning, I'm not a total grinch Big Grin
