Right, the coin toss didn't work so I pieced together my limited knowledge, applied some dubious logic and made an (almost) educated guess. I reckon I'm about 60% confident, so not bad

The sad thing is I'm obviously older than all of you.

I thought Bridge of Spies was a movie? Tom Hanks in it maybe? Was it based on a book?

Ok everyone has given their final answer so we can go ahead with reveal.

Phew!
I knew The Cure were older than that and was fairly sure Depeche Mode were too
I thought the Saw Doctors debut was All The Way from Tuam but I just looked and that was their second album, got lucky there

Jeremy Clarkson-under-COVID rules, two Phone A Friends?

TBH, I had a different question lined up for today, though the consensus here seemed to suggest that the questions are getting too difficult to soon?
I thought everyone knew Carol Decker and T'Pau?

I know Carol Decker and T'Pau but I hadn't a clue of their album. I Asked the Audience today - a good choice, as there was no ambiguity in the result - 100% on T'Pau.
All questions are easy if you know the answer. I have found the last few more difficult than I'd expect. But then, a €32K or a €64K one might be a doddle to me because that's what I happen to know. Up to you to judge how difficult questions are getting @Kol .

No, Phone A Friend today was my first lifeline used

As far as the questions being too hard:
It's only easy if you know the answer

The questions are tricky alright, but I'd say probably about right. This is about the point that you'd expect to start seeing people slip up

I recognised all the band names but that's it, but then I was only 2 in 87 lol.
A question is only easy if you know the answer.

I was nearly a teenager in 1987 but it still didn't help me

(22-10-2021, 04:35 PM)E.N. Wrote: Phew! This was my reasoning also. It couldn't be The Cure or Depeche Mode as they were surely earlier. It was down to T'Pau (all I know of them is China in your hand, and I remember my loving that song) or the Saw Doctors. I thought Saw Doctors would have been a bit later, and I thought their album had something to do with Galway. Very lucky here also!

I was 20 in 1987, so this was one I knew straight away. If it had been an album from 2017 I'd more than likely have been screwed.
Age would actually have little effect on me. I'd probably do better with an album that came out before I was born than anything when I was "of age", as that's what I listen to most.
