So, based on the above, I'd recommend vig not shoot until we get some seer info.

I presume seer doesn't get a peek tonight if it's only post lynch.

The seer should stay hidden until it is absolutely necessary for them to make themselves known.  Unless they have peaked both wolves or are in danger of being lynched they should stay firmly hidden

if there is a flavor lynch, then the vig has a free shot which won't effect mislynches.

The effect on number of mislynches would surely depend on whether the vig's free shot hits a village or a wolf.

"Munch" is the term used when wolves make a morning kill.
"Lynch" is when all players vote on eliminating one player we think is a wolf (wolves get a vote here too so will likely try to steer us away from voting for one of them.

Sometimes the first munch is just for "flavour" - ie, no player is actually eliminated. The first true elimination doesn't happen until the evening time.

We are not sure if the first munch will be just flavour or if it will be a real kill.

What's the purpose of the fake character/kill?

If the flavor (story) is gory enough, it will enrage the player to string someone up in revenge, without actually killing a player before they have gotten much of a chance to play in the game.

I will give you that. I change my phrasing to "rarely" from never. 
People have their tells, you get to know them over time. And then people throw your game style back at you so as to brand you as wolf (a lot of the time incorrectly). 
It's all good fun though

At the moment we're just chatting inanely.  But if you're on team village then you're on the lookout for slips by potential wolves.  You'll be asked to vote to lynch who you think is a wolf tomorrow evening (if you're still alive in the morning, but let's face it, it'd be a mean wolf that would munch a noob the first night).  Don't worry if you don't find a wolf though, it's incredibly hard, and is often more luck than design especially for the first lynch.

If you're a wolf you can chat with your teammate in the backroom.  As a wolf you'll probably want to find one of the power players on team village - that's the seer and vigilante this game, because they're the players that will cause you most harm, and if you do find them you'll probably want to munch them pretty pronto.  If you are a wolf though, provided it's not both noobs in that role, you should have a bit of support from your teammate.

Also reach out to Necro and he'll help you out.  That goes for any newbies

Was just putting the kid to bed but I had spotted that they were observing the thread but not posting. She had made a post at 7.12, I posted at 7.36 about the seer, which she thanked nearly straight away. But didn't post again until 8.00. Pocketing Ecto.

I'll definitely be keeping an eye on her
