The link you have, https://giphy.com/gifs/voy-h36vh423PiV9K, isn't the actual gif but a holding page
Click the three dots under it, then right click/press and hold the image and open it in another tab. That should get you the following link...

Which is the actual gif. That should work...

Basically, you need a ".gif" in your link. As an alternative, I find tenor really good, and there you can copy the link directly
