Above - click on the Quick Reply box to bring up your keyboard, then click on the emoji icon (this might depend on what keyboard you use)
Above - click on the gif icon to bring up the gif area
Above - use search to find what gif you want and click on it
Above - the link to the gif will show in the box. Click the abc button to get back to the regular keyboard
Above - click at the beginning of the link and type in the image tag, then click at the end and close the image tag to get the format below. Then add any other comments you want and post reply as normal!

It says 'can't enter this content here' when I try to select a Gif on the phone keypad.
Also, if I open a separate tab & try to copy the link directly from Giphy(as I used to), it doesn't work when I insert it into the window icon.

The link you have,

Click the three dots under it, then right click/press and hold the image and open it in another tab. That should get you the following link...

Which is the actual gif. That should work...
Basically, you need a ".gif" in your link. As an alternative, I find tenor really good, and there you can copy the link directly
