Mr CJ polluted mine top genres as new wave made it's way on there.
Your kids have better taste than done of my friends kids. It's better than Let It Go for example.

Rest In Peace Mike Nesmith of The Monkees

Been listening to some of my favourites with Mike singing lead vocals on repeat this evening...

I'm sorry to hear that Mike Nesmith passed away. He was a talented musician in the band and became a more prominent songwriter in the band, once they were allowed to write all their own stuff. I particularly like Me and Magdalena, a song I only got to know in the last two years. Singer and drummer Mickey Dolenz is the only one left of The Monkees now.

"The Smile" is a new side project from Thom and Jonny from Radiohead.
I had a reasonably clear idea of what that might sound like. I was wrong!
Instead it's a short, sharp burst of muddy garage rock...

Not an electronic bleep in sight.  Thank f*ck for that!  Sounds like it could have been an outtake from Pablo Honey.

I didn't know he was living here either!

@Sephiroth_Dude, I totally forgot, but you'll like what I have been listening too!

@everyone! The new album from And So I Watch You From Afar is an absolute delight. So much more emotional and tender than we're used to from them

This is the opener, gives a good idea where it's going. It really is an album that deserves to be listened to in it's entirety though, it's almost like a continuous orchestral piece, so if you like this go check it out

Someone around here (or quite a few people perhaps) are big fans of Regulate by Warren G and I remember crapping all over it in an Walrus or Surlaw or Tournament at some point back in the forgotten place, but currently in The Workman's Club and it came on and I have to admit I was wrong before, and I apologise because it's an absolute bop!

Given he won the Choice Album of the Year award last night I've been diving back into I Have A Love.

It really is an extraordinary piece of work. Raw, gentle, savage and beautiful all at once.
Like a Dublin version of the best side of The Streets being backed by Avalanches.
Well, well worth a listen if you haven't tried it

Not sure whats happening, but this fucker is being played in the bar I'm in and I'm genuinely enjoying it...

We've enterered The Twilight Zone... Me... Enjoying Springsteen...  Sick

Also some Proud Mary was on earlier and I enjoyed that too (it wasn't the OG Creedance Cleatwater Revival version, but still the fact I liked it sickens me)
