Prince - Purple Rain
I think Prince gets a bit too much love around these parts, never been that gone on his stuff tbh. That being said this is very good… far far too long though, it would have been grand at half the time. Not sure if it’s blues but sure I haven’t a clue what is so it’s good enough for me

Rolling Stones - Prodigal Son
This feels a bit upbeat for being a bluesy type track but again, what the heck do I know. I liked the track enough to stick it here. I’ll take my flogging publicly at the stocks tomorrow morning.

David Gogo - This Is A Man's World
Well this is surely blues, just look at the video title!! One I’m definitely familiar with. Very much enjoyed this, I think it would probably be a little higher if it wasn’t just a tad too long. Nice entry.
I don't do blues either so was just happy to find a song to submit. I wouldn't say Purple Rain is traditional blues but I guess it's kinda blues.
I'm a bit worried that you've already called two others "a bit long"

The Black Keys - Going Down South
Start of the track kind of reminds me of Stuck in The Middle With You. Really like the beat behind the track, I can ignore that the singer’s voice annoys me I like the riff that much tbh. Here is a fair placing imo.

Cream - Sunshine of Your Love
Again, I’ve no idea if this is actually blues… seems a bit rocky to be bluesy? Anyways I really liked this track. Was kinda open minded going into this but the guitar riffs are winning me over more than anything so far anyways…

Ah this is what I’m looking for. Loving the guitar here again, and the bass line is just beautiful.

Maybe we should make a new album thread here, I'm halfway through Donda

Gary Clark Jr - When My train Pulls In
This was just class from start to finish. Really enjoyed this entry.
Whoo-hoo! Love that song so much
Saw him at Glastonbury a few years back, the best guitarist I've ever seen live, he's just incredible
And not too long
And that brings us right up to our remaining 4, in no particular order:

Then again, maybe not... I was a bit worried earlier on when some of Necro's comments implied Blues shouldn't be up-tempo... Spent a lot of time in Blues bars when I was over in the States a few years back and it was much more common to hear something with a bit of umph to them than what people may stereotypically perceive to be Blues.
Glad you enjoyed it Necro.

aaronjennings and Diamonds are currently battling for the spoon but only 8 points seperate bottom from 4th place so that could all change yet...

My next pick is more likely low than high. Won't be for everyone but it's an incredible tune

Kinda similar to the Offspring in the way this dude sounds… didn’t really like this one though unfortunately. Very, very shouty.

S Club 7 - Show Me Your Colours
I’m probably going to have a row with the entrant now but I prefer the more upbeat S Club songs, I think they sound a bit too generic when doing more serious songs like… erm… show me your colours. Still a decent track mind you.
