It's been a while, anyone fancy a game of codenames?

In case you're new to it, dive in. Teams of 2+, a grid of words and one player gives one word clues to which of those words belong to their team. Guess them all and you win. Simple once you start, I'll explain better if we get any newbies.

@aaronjennings, rough intro

Each round I'll give you a one word clue, and the number of answers it refers to. You can guess one more than this number, so generally that means you can guess what I'm aiming at, and pick up an earlier one if you have any hanging around

In theory you guess one by one, but often people will say "X and if correct Y"

If you give a correct answer you go again. If you give an incorrect one it might be theirs or neutral, then play switches. One word is the assassin though, pick that and it's instant defeat

One intricacy near the end might be that I'm forced to go crazy, if they're going to win next go. I may say CLUE UNLIMITED, which means you can make as many guesses as you like. Less common, but in the rules, is "CLUE 0" - in this case I'm giving a clue as to what it isn't! And you have unlimited guesses

As an example if how the board looks and a round plays out...

Your guesses should be in capitals. You can chat away as much as you like otherwise, if you want to explain your thought process

Neo and I will generally be silent apart from the clues and correct/wrong calls as we're not to give anything else away. But ask questions and nothing will answer, or Neo and I can give factual answers on rules etc

Oh, more for if you captain a future game, clues must refer to the meaning of the word. For example, you can't clue long to mean its a long word, or clue letters in it, or its position on the board etc

Pit was going to be my next best guess too, the only other one that could be an obscure enough link would be ball, but I'd say pit is right

I was also considering Bow, but that seems less of a trap and more of an offensive weapon
