He's been in some good movies but Robert Redford is a giant of movies, I couldn't vote against him.

Personally, I didn't like Tombstone though, and haven't seen The Doors.

Robbie R is a true legend, iconic but Kilmer has a few good roles too
I'm surprised at Bryan Cranston and Ryan Gosling winning, not so much Nicole Kidman & Woody Harrelson.

All I can say is I'm glad I'm not betting on the outcomes of any of these. You just never know. Just noticed Mr & Mrs Matthew Broderick are both in this next one. Not against each other but could have been.

Round 1 - Matches 153 - 156

Jodie Comer - She got the call to audition for Killing Eve (2018) while nursing a hangover, following a party night with friends at a music festival in Barcelona. Despite feeling that she had little chances, she took the 13-hour flight to Los Angeles anyway. After five minutes in reading with Sandra Oh, she landed the part.

Sissy Spacek - According to her commentary on the DVD of Coal Miner's Daughter (1980), she initially aspired to be a singer and auditioned for Decca Records. The label liked her but told her she was too similar to another artist they had on their label. That artist was Loretta Lynn. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000651/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
------------------------------------------------------------------
Colin Farrell - His idol Al Pacino called him "the best actor of his generation."

Guy Pearce - [on playing roles with a different accent] I don't look at it as hiding my accent, I look at it as putting on another accent.

[Image: Leonard-Shelby-Memento-Guy-Pearce-a.jpg][Image: One-Two-Three.jpg]
James Cagney - Often left the set early claiming he was too ill to continue filming in order to ensure an extra day of filming so that the extras and the film crew, whom he thought woefully underpaid, could get an additional day's salary.
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000010/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Gregory Peck - Marched with Martin Luther King.

Matthew Broderick - Quote - "I acquired fame by playing the coolest kid who ever lived. Now, the only roles I can seem to get are bleak, insecure men. I do find almost every character I play quite interesting, though."

1. Understandable given her age but disappointed to see Jodie Comer bow out already. Also stunned to see James Cagney eliminated at the first hurdle.

Katharine Ross - Always horse crazy as a youngster spending every possible minute with them. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001684/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
-------------------------------------------
Buster Keaton - Unlike many silent movie stars, Buster was eager to go into sound considering he had a fine baritone voice with no speech impediments and years of stage experience, so dialogue was not a problem.

[Image: Buster-Keaton-Go-West-1925.jpg][Image: Humphrey-Bogart-Feature-Photo.jpg]
Humphrey Bogart - Although usually considered a quiet and accommodating actor by most of his collaborators, he became disliked by William Holden and Billy Wilder during the filming of Sabrina (1954). https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000007/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

Andrew Scott v Katharine Ross

Emma Roberts v Diane Keaton
John Goodman v Jude Law
-----------------------------------------
Andrew Scott
Buster Keaton
Diane Keaton
John Goodman
Katharine Ross
Humphrey Bogart - Possibly my favourite actor ever, in top 3 anyway.
Diane Keaton - Tough draw for Emma, I like her also but Diane has to go further.
John Goodman - Another tough call.
Andrew Scott
Humphrey Bogart
Emma Roberts
John Goodman
Jude Law
Andrew Scott v Katharine Ross - tough choice. I do love Butch & Sundance, and The Graduate is iconic, and even recent work like Donnie Darko was good. But then, Scott is also so great.
Buster Keaton v Humphrey Bogart - an awful cruel round! I have to go for Keaton though for his stunt work and absolute genius.
Emma Roberts v Diane Keaton - la-de-da!
John Goodman v Jude Law - my spreadsheet has them neck and neck, but Law just in more films I've rated highly.
John Goodman

Couldn't really pick between any of the other options.
Andrew Scott
Humphrey Bogart
Diane Keaton
John Goodman
Andrew Scott
Humphrey Bogart
Diane Keaton
Jude Law

Although Jude Law has had some good roles I think the 4 best actors got through that time.

Can lightning strike twice or will this be a trickier round?

Alan Rickman - For the shot where Hans Gruber falls from the top of the building in Die Hard (1988), he was actually dropped by a stuntman from a 20-foot high model onto an air bag.
