iWell, here I go dipping my toes into the sheepy waters! Hopefully I wont make a balls of it.

I'll kick off the reveal here at 9pm. Here are the questions just in case anyone has forgotten what they were. And they fill some space.

Music - 1. An obvious one to start with. Name a Glen Campbell song apart from ‘Wichita Lineman’  -
2. Other than ‘From a Distance’ name a Nanci Griffith song –

Science next – 1. Name an element that starts with a vowel –
2. Name a celebrity inventor –

Sport – 1. Name an Irish professional golfer (past or present) who wasn’t born in Co. Offaly –
2. Name an English soccer team that starts with an S –

Politics – 1. Name any former President of the USA. (Minus points for anyone naming the one with a head that looks like a poorly combed basketball.)
2. Name any female TD in the current Irish Dail –

TV – 1. Might be a chance for a big score as there are only 6 to choose from – name a ‘Friends’ character who appeared in all 235 episodes –
2. Name a TV quiz programme -

Geography – 1. Name anywhere in Co. Wicklow that starts with the letter G –
2. Name a county in Ireland you would love to move to –

Literature – 1. Name a Charles Dickens character that doesn’t appear in a title of any of his novels –
2. Name a novel by Roddy Doyle excluding the Barrytown Trilogy of ‘The Commitments’ / ‘The Snapper’ / ‘The Van’ ) –

Film – 1. Name any movie in which Cary Grant appears –
2. And finally – a sort of hypothetical one – who do you think will replace Daniel Craig as James Bond?

Here we go!
Question 1: Name a Glen Campbell song apart from ‘Wichita Lineman’  -

I would have put money on this being a clean ‘sheep’ for Rhinestone Cowboy and a bucket load of points for all but Mam of 4 strayed early with ‘Gentle On My Mind’ and was eventually followed out the gate by Ari101. They are the early trailers.

...is factually incorrect and should score zero, then sit in the corner thinking about what they've done
Google done me (us?) wrong!!! Big Grin
I almost went with that odd one until I recognised Rhinestone Cowboy!
Oh and I'm going to publish the points table after every round of 2 questions.

No surprise to me that ‘Love at the Five & Dime’ was popular as was ‘Once in a Very Blue Moon’. They were however unexpectedly joined by ‘The Speed of the Sound of Loneliness’ which I wouldn’t have had in my selection if you asked me for 20 Nanci Griffith tracks.

Phew... the first one was pretty obvious once I saw Rhinestone Cowboy was an answer - had no idea that was who sung it though

Don't think I've heard any of the songs in Q2, including the one I said
Question 3: Name an element that starts with a vowel –

Oxygen was the clear winner here with 19 baa’s. Iodine was the most left field of the solo runs.

I was delighted to see the person the question was inspired by appearing well up the list. As well as being a successful actress in the 1930’s and 40’s. Hedy Lamarr worked on and patented an invention for a radio signal-hopping device, which unbelievably is today implemented in our precious Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology. Also thrilled to see Dube inventor Dion Dublin get mentioned by E.N. who seems to be a big dube / Dion fan.

Good on those who picked Hedy. I never thought she'd Sheep, so didn't go for her.

With Ryder Cup player and Open champion Shane Lowry on the vetoed list this I thought was always going to be a straight sheepout between former Ryder Cup and Open winners Padraig Harrington & Rory McIlroy. And so it proved with McIlroy sinking the very last putt.

Very surprised to see my name in it there. Go on the Five and Dime.

With so many to choose from I felt either this would be a very low scoring round or everyone would just say Spurs and get a heap of points. After seeing the likes of Scunthorpe United, Stockport County, Swindon Town, St. Albans City and even Southend United all draw blanks imagine my surprise it was Southampton that proved to be the most popular premiersheep choice.
