Question 16: Who do you think will replace Daniel Craig as James Bond? -

Idris Elba certainly has the backing of this flock with more picks than Tom Hardy does. It might be a sign however that the runner up got 007 votes. ……..

What about Question 13 - Charles Dickens?

Ssh Declan,  my answer to that one was awful too .
Just before I publish the final table I want to thank everyone who joined in what I am sure will not be my last sheep quiz. I really enjoyed it and appreciate everyone's efforts in entertaining everyone else. I hope my reveal met your expectations.

Question 15: Name any movie in which Cary Grant appears –

This must have been torture for Cary Grant fanatic DejaBoo and I’m sure it took hours for her to choose. In the end, she went for romance at the top of the Empire State Building (with Barney 92 no less) while 16 sided with intrigue & danger in ‘North by Northwest’.

He is my absolute fave (le sigh).  Yeth, always go for the romance - takes precedence over de sheep. I has me principles!  Big Grin Tongue
ah Dickens! I'll rush right back up the page. The scores include it though as I came prepared!

This should get bonus points!  I wasn't brave enough to go for something that obviously wouldn't sheep myself.

In fairness, I definitely wasn't expecting to be so close to a podium spot at this stage, otherwise I would have given a different answer.  Maybe... Big Grin

Question 13: Name a Charles Dickens character that doesn’t appear in a title of any of his novels –

Ebenezer Scrooge literally ram away with this one. No doubt made a little easier by my banning Our Mutual Friends Martin Chuzzlewit, Nicholas Nickleby, Barnaby Rudge, David Copperfield, Oliver Twist and even Little Dorrit.

Oooh, nearly went with Mrs Havisham for the Dickens question. Would have been an ace.

Brings back nightmares from my Inter Cert.
Even though I didnt have Dickesn posted in the right place the scores from that round were in the update after Q14. I had all the league tables after every 2 questions printed off the sheepulator in advance. I swore myself to secrecy before I started so it's ok that I knew who won!!

Congratulations to Edser, who I believe was in first place all the way through - he just had to shake off a few who were tying with him for a while!
Well done to ShaneU for sneaking into runner-up position.
Well done to Lorcand1990 for a well-deserved third position, after a solid performance.
Mam of 4 - What can we say? Despite an impressive late surge from jp Liz, that wooden spoon was always yours!
Thank you Wichita - great job. Glen Campbell and Nanci Griffith would have been proud of you, looking down from Heaven. You can proudly wear your Rhinestone Cowboy outfit with love at the Five and Dime.

A great sheep and reveal @Wichita Lineman

Congrats @Edser the winner and @Mam of 4 now spoon of 4

As for Bond, I think Hardy would bust out of his tux but I await the sight of him in a speedo or mankini  Heart
Congrats Edser, well played!

Nice one Wichitty, like a pro Smile

I got 11 sheep and the ones I missed were Pointless, Dion Dublin and Donegal, so I'm calling it a moral victory Tongue

Agreed on both. Idris Elba's just been talked about so much I thought he'd sheep

The next Bond won't be anyone that high profile though, I'm sure of it

While he'd make a great Bond, Idris Elba is 49, he's far too old to take over the role.  They might get one film out of him, two at a push, but then they'd be back to square one.  Even at 44 Tom Hardy might be a little old, but I think he suits more rugged characters anyway, rather than the smooth and sophisticated Bond.  Tom Hiddleston was my shout, but with Loki commitments possibly going on a while yet, he could be out of the running.  I think Richard Madden ticks a lot of boxes from an age and not too high a profile point of view, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get it.
