I figured most would have a star cos aside from the odd angel (or transvestite Barbie apparently) I dunno what else you put atop the tree!
We have a unicorn atop our tree.

I can't believe I actively worked against myself by mistakenly saying yes.

Yeah I thought it’d be about even with angels.
I remember as a kid my (very Catholic) parents* being adamant that it should be a star to represent the star guiding the Wise Men to Bethlehem. Which I never really quite understood because if you’re going to believe in the story at all then an angel makes as much sense as they were present too.
Allegedly. Though at least stars do actually exist
* yeah, the same parents who wouldn’t allow ’Merry Christmas’ because of the drunk connotations.

I like Fairytale of New York but voted No because I don't think there is any one greatest Christmas song; you could argue it's one of the best "contemporary" ones but how do you compare it to something like O Holy Night? Apples and oranges. Totally depends on mood, setting and other variables.
Also the original is indirectly responsible for the Ronan Keating version, which is arguably the worst thing to ever come out of Ireland.

I voted Yes, but I don't think it is the best Christmas song.
Just that it is one of the best Christmas songs, because I do really like it.
But then again I like a lot of crimbo songs. It's my favourite time of the year and I love when the songs start playing on the radio, or in the shops
