Howdy folks,
Time for a new edition of Necros Walrus. I've got some time off work now for the next few weeks and want to give some tracks a judgemental nod or shake of my digital head
Most of you know the drill by now so I'll skip right to the categories
The Ear Worm: A track that stays with you all day after one listen. Bonus points if you can send me a new ear worm. None if it burns my ears off though.
If You Tolerate This Then Your Category Will Be Next: Normally I give a wider scope in Walrus but for this one category I'm setting parameters as I'm on a bit of a Manics stint lately. Send me a track from the Manic Street Preachers, simple as that. Any duplicates in this round will score precisely zero points though so be careful....
Rock the Casbah: No it's not a Clash themed category! It's a Rock round and yes I'm deliberately being as open as that. The Rockier the better though so make sure you try to blow my socks off!
Songs to Make Love to: Let's all take things down a notch after the last round and give me your crooniest love song. You don't have to actually have made love to it... Though it might help
Bold as Brass: This next category will have to include at least one brass instrument in the music somewhere. Make sure I can hear that sax solo (or other appropriate instrument)!
The Final Count(ry)down:
And finally we finish off with a major hoedown at this hootenanny! I'm talking jiving, line dancing, bootcut jeans and of course a bit of Hucklebucking. I want lively country here so none of that country boy strumming his geetar nonsense. Let's have a Country Jamboree!!
I'm on holidays in France from 5th to 12th July so I'll leave entries open until the 13th when I return then plan to run this off within the few weeks after that at 1-2 categories a week.
