The simple things in life.

Burgers and Chips for dinner. & had some garlic sauce from a chipper on the side  Heart

Finely chopped some shallots to dip my chips into the sauce then into the onions, like a proper lady.

Same tonight, but on the BBQ. I never had a BBQ until last year (never had a garden, in fact) and I'm a bit obsessed now. I'm such a middle aged man 😝

I never liked BBQ's. Even the smell of them doesn't appeal to me at all. It seems to be all meat, meat, meat 🤢.

& while I do eat meat, I only like a small bit in my meals

(I also smash my burgers thinner before cooking because I don't like them thick as they come)

Dinner tonight - Hotdogs (but not really)

I had no hotdog buns so used some burger buns instead   Big Grin
& I only ever use jumbo sauasges because those Frankfurter things are vile.

Told the fam that hotdogs were on the menu and not a single complaint was made with what they were served.
Made them with hash browns on the side beacuse I'm using up freezer food in preparation for some winter batch cooking.

So basically they were breakfast burgers rather than hotdogs.
Either way, it was a very tasty (& another masterfully lazy) Tuesaday night dinner.

My own had ketchup, sweet mustard, lettuce, fried shallots & pickle (no hash browns for me because I only like them the odd time).

Kiddo's request recently was this pulled pork. I wasn't expecting much from it but end up being surprised at how tasty it was.

(There's isn't a whole lot in each box in terms of feeding a family. I'd say one box would have enough to fill two loaded adult burgers. I bought two box's and stretched it out)

Little kids had them simple on burger buns with nothing else on it. Big kids had ours on a bun with just a few slices of pickle. Was delicious.

I'm thinking of making them again as Taco's on mini wraps. With either an Avocado corn salad, or with pickled onions.

(Kiddo's wouldn't touch the salad, they will most likely have there's with just mozzarella and call it fine dining  Tongue)

I really like that pulled pork too. My top tip is to stir through some grated cheese before serving it Wink

There's a brunch meal on Pòg restaurants menu (shown on their Instagram page too) that uses pulled pork and I am dying to recreate it.

It's a potato cake, topped with pulled pork, poached egg, tomato salsa (warm I think), black pudding crumbs, crispy onions & a hollandaise sauce 🥴

It's faaaaar too many ingredients for me to handle in one meal so I'll have to make mine more of a hors d'oeurvres style 😆

(I don't even like black pudding or poached eggs & yet I still want to make it 🐷)

I love black pudding but not poached egg but that sounds lush @Spears
