So we had two players who had the winning team in their selection of 8 at the beginning.

Congrats to @E.N. and @nothing for picking Argentina. That's a 50 point winners bonus for you guys there!

Bonus question one was a wash, 2 of you had France to win so were unlucky there. No points for anyone.

The second question concerned the Golden Boot - top scorer of the competition.

SIX of you picked Kylian Mbappe and he took that trophy home just ahead of Messi with 8 goals in the tournament. Well done to @Edser, @Sephiroth_Dude, @Kol , @Sawduck, @ari101 and @lorcand1990. 20 bonus points for each of you!

Our third question concerned the player of the tournament which was of course won by Lionel Messi. This was our controversial question. 2 people selected Messi prior to the tournament beginning for this - they were @Edser and @E.N.. Incidentally that's an impressive double with top scorer and player of the tournament for Edser, well done there.

Liz did select Messi for this but unfortunately for her... not until after the tournament began. I laboured long and hard on the decision but I have decided not to award her the points for this in the interest of competition fairness. Sorry Liz :/

Team who scored the most goals was next. Three people selected France correctly who pipped the World Cup Winners Argentina to the award by a single goal - France had 16 goals, Argentina 15.

Finally we had our Team who concedes the most goals award - this went to Costa Rica with 11 goals. One person nailed this spot on and that was @E.N.
