Aris that is quite the list! 😯 I just have Celine Dion in June (if she doesn't cancel 🤞 - she has cancelled everything USA side from Nov-Apr ish due to ill health )
Was it really over two years...   Whoops sorry... Life just got in the way 🙈😅

Having seen him on a couple of UK panel shows, we went to see Trevor Noah in Vicar Street a couple of years before he moved to the States, so he wasn't really that well known at that time.  Or so we thought.  He mentioned something about being in Kenya at one point and there was a big cheer from the back, which took him by surprise.  So then he mentioned a few other African countries, and every one got a cheer.  It's fair to say that we were in a small minority of white Irish people at the gig. Big Grin  He was very funny though, and there was definitely a different energy at the gig to pretty much any other comedy show I've been at, which made for a hugely enjoyable night.

Could be tempted Tongue

Not got a ticket yet, it's Easter hols and my dad's birthday so not sure if I'm around, but I am hoping to go. He puts on a great show, and usually attracts a great crowd, should be good!

Got some tickets to David O'Doherty in Vicar Street in March there, we had been booked to see him in May 2020 but covid hit so a nice first Comedy gig back!

Agreed, his Christmas gigs in Whelan's were an institution for a while. I was tempted to go for Blanch this weekend, but he's sold out there

Have to wait until May for my comedy hit, got Rhod Gilbert and Kathryn Ryan then

I first saw David O'Doherty supporting Tommy Tiernan in Vicar Street years ago.  He was far funnier than Tiernan, but given how unusual his act was I didn't expect him to become as big as he has.

We've got Catherine Bohart, Iain Stirling and Rob Gilbert in April, My Dad Wrote a Porno and Nish Kumar in May and Joe Lycett in August lined up.  I'm sure we'll squeeze another couple in at some stage over the summer.

Yeah, fecking delighted! Big Grin
New album coming as well

Saw them at Kilmainham a few years ago but outdoors wasn't the same, the couple of times I've seen them indoors were incredible, so I'm glad for that

Pretty sure I'll just go to the 3arena show, but a Friday in Brixton is tempting me...

I was in Kilmainham and I agree with you. Their music is suited indoors better. Having said that my friends in Greece got lucky in the sense that there was a thunderstorm that night and created a natural light show.
The one before that was fantastic. The curtain in the beginning of the show and how it created shadows all over, fantastic stuff.
And I think you are right, Brixton Academy is a very well suited venue for them.

These have now sold out, so don't get excited...

Ed Sheeran is playing a night each in Whelan's and Vicar Street in April, as warm ups for his Croke Park gig. Not a fan myself but fair play, that's pretty cool. Landed a couple of tickets for my wife and her sister, so I'm in everyone's good books now Tongue

I was meant to be going to The Antlers on April 8th but it was cancelled. Otherwise I have tickets for:

Warpaint - 14th May
Beach House - 21st May
Dađi Freyr- 2nd June
Jacob Collier - 7th June
Sinéad O'Connor- 17th July (expecting this one will probably be cancelled)
Wolf Alice - 30th August

Beach House is the one I'm really looking forward to. I've seen them twice already but am a much bigger fan now than I was before, so this will be a big deal.

I wanted to go see Róisín Murphy but it sold out.

I'd have liked to go to Florence and the Machine but will not make the mistake of going on my own again (have seen her twice and both times involved lots of "love everybody, tell the person you're with you love them and hug them".... #foreveralone).

And I'm contemplating either Primal Scream or Sharon van Etten in June (they're on the same night!) and Angel Olsen in October.

Annoyingly I really wanted to see Goldfrapp live and they are finally playing in Ireland....but only as a support act, to Duran Duran (who I'm not really pushed about).

Jealous that you got to see them! They're really high on my "want" list because I've never seen them live before. Hopefully they do another show here some time before Alison completely loses her voice.

We're going to our first comedy gig in two years on Saturday, Catherine Bohart. She was coincidentally the last gig we were at too, the week before the first lockdown. It's going to be weird being in a room with that many people again.

I have bought a ticket for Duran Duran before Goldfrapp was announced and this came as a big extra bonus. Have never seen them live, though I have seen Will Gregory on his own in the National Concert Hall.
@Homer J. Fong I also have ticket for Sinead and i expect that it will be cancelled.
Missed on Jacob Collier, though I'm keeping an eye in case any tickets become available.
And I will skip Florence too - couldn't stop laughing at your comment hahaha. Jokes aside, I have The Cure the night after Florence and 2 nights in a row are getting increasingly difficult 🙃😄.

P.S. I was one of the lucky, and got a ticket for Roisin - a seated one mind you.

It was class. He played for nearly 2 hours, and there was just a great energy in the room.

Pet Needs who were supporting almost felt like a headline set in their own right.

I did, they were very very good. I like his voice, that sweet falsetto he has is awesome!!!

Sadly one of the bairns is smothered by a cold so we're going to have to skip it

Chuck is American folk-punk, whiskey gargled, rough and ready acoustic stompers. He's cracking live, I've seen him a couple of times

pdf tickets, PM me an email address or phone number and I can send them over
It's not sold out, and they were only 20 quid anyway, so don't want anything for them. Just be nice to see them used, and if I gained him another fan I'd be delighted

If I weren't suffering from a bitch of a sinus infection myself at the moment, I'd be all over that offer.

There seems to be some really horrible (non-covid) stuff circulating at the moment. Hope you're feeling better soon
